Two years ago, I made the decision to join the Rainmaker Family Mastermind. Reflecting on my experience, I sincerely wish I had conducted thorough research before committing to their program. Had I known then what I know now, I would have avoided this program entirely and saved myself from significant financial and emotional distress. Initial Red Flags My first interactions with the Rainmaker team should have served as clear warnings. Scheduling an interview to learn more about the program was an ordeal—I waited for over two hours for a call that never came. When I finally received responses, they were dismissive and rude, urging me to be patient. Despite these red flags, I proceeded to sign up for the Family Freedom Challenge. The challenge itself was structured to quickly convince participants of their suitability for the mastermind program. Stephen and Chelsea heavily promoted the idea that starting an Amazon business could be a lucrative "passive income" stream, manageable during a child’s naptime. The pressure was intense, and involved spiritualized language which convinced me they had my best interests in mind. After the challenge, with only a few days to "lock in your price" for the mastermind, I felt rushed and uneasy about the financial commitment. Financial Strain and Manipulation I deeply regret how I convinced my husband to support this decision. Stephen's advice on handling unsupportive spouses involved manipulative tactics, which I shamefully employed. My husband, cautious and prudent, questioned the guarantees, and we were ultimately swayed by the enticing "10K Payday Guarantee." However, later we learned this guarantee was almost impossible to meet, particularly for someone with no prior experience in selling on Amazon. Lack of Adequate Support One of the key promises was consistent support from a dedicated coach. As a mother of six, including a child with special needs, this support was crucial. However, my coach, was overwhelmed with other students and was on the verge of leaving the program herself. Communication was sporadic, and when I requested a new coach, my concerns were dismissed. Inadequate Coaching and Training Weekly group calls were ineffective, especially with my unreliable rural internet connection. My questions often went unanswered, and the advice I did receive was inconsistent and sometimes detrimental. For example, I was advised to proceed with a highly seasonal product, contrary to their assurance of its evergreen potential. Ethical Concerns and Inadequate Content The Rainmaker’s primary launch strategy violated Amazon's Terms of Service, which I was unwilling to compromise on due to my ethical standards. Additionally, the program’s PPC training was superficial, leaving me to seek comprehensive resources elsewhere, such as the Freedom Ticket on Helium 10. Devastating Outcome After two years, I find myself in significant debt from unsold products. This program, which promised to provide financial freedom and allow me to stay home with my children, has forced me to consider employment outside the home. The emotional and financial toll has been immense, and my trust in coaching programs has been shattered. Conclusion I share my story in hopes that it will prevent others from falling into the same trap. The Rainmaker Family program has left me disillusioned and burdened with debt, while its founders enjoy a lavish lifestyle funded by their participants. Please, exercise caution and due diligence before investing in such programs. The only reason I am willing to give 2 stars to the otherwise scam of Rainmakers is because I have made treasured friendships with other sincere, godly, hardworking women who were also taken in by hyper-spiritualized language employed to seal our commitments. It is for these women, and my family that I have finally come forward to tell my story.

I originally joined Rainmakers in July 2024, and as I approach another renewal in the coming months, I wanted to share a perspective based on my experience over two membership cycles. When I initially wrote a review, it was within the first day or two of joining — and I was strongly encouraged to do so at that time. Looking back, that was a mistake. Like many people, I was in the honeymoon phase — excited, optimistic, and influenced by early energy and messaging. In my opinion, no program can truly be evaluated in the first few days. After completing my first year, I was on the fence about renewing. I was met with strong messaging around “investing in yourself” and “investing in your future and your kids.” While I genuinely believe in that principle and live by it, I ultimately decided to give the program one more year because I truly wanted to see things improve. One positive that did come from renewing was access to the KDP course with Kamden. That course truly delivered and was worth it. If you’re interested in publishing with KDP and need a clear, practical guide, I highly recommend her course. In hindsight, I should have purchased her course outright rather than renewing my Rainmakers membership just to access it. Unfortunately, outside of that experience, the program as a whole did not improve for me. I attended live calls, asked thoughtful questions in the chat, and actively participated — only to repeatedly have my questions dismissed or ignored, even on calls with as few as 10–15 participants. Over time, this made the experience feel transactional rather than supportive. I also participated in a recent AI challenge and joined the live call. During that experience, there were numerous technical issues with the AI platform, features were not functioning as demonstrated, and there was visible confusion navigating the technology in real time. During the call, it became clear that this AI technology—originally positioned as part of the signature Mastermind—was now being sold as a required paid monthly upgrade to participate. I was not comfortable paying an additional monthly fee for technology that was not working as demonstrated during the live call and appeared to still be in the learning or rollout phase while being sold. This stood out to me because I have been actively researching and evaluating AI tools for my business over the past several months. Ultimately, I chose to invest in a different AI program that was stable, well-supported, and offered a clear 90-day, no-questions-asked refund policy, which gave me confidence in both the product and the company behind it. In addition, I purchased the Influence to Income course, which, for me, was a significant mistake. It did not deliver the value or outcomes that were promised. Fortunately, I later invested in a different program — also at my own expense — that did deliver, which further highlighted the lack of substance in this one. Over time, many things that were originally included in the mastermind were removed or restructured, and elements that members had already paid for became paid upgrades. This left me feeling nickel-and-dimed rather than supported. The overall experience increasingly felt like heavy marketing and emotional persuasion, with very little depth, delivery, or substance behind it. For me, Rainmakers turned out to be a lot of sizzle with very little substance. I also want to note that while there are many excellent coaches in the industry, the level of coaching within this program felt inconsistent and, in my experience, lacked the depth, experience, and mastery I expected at this price point. I’m sharing this not to discourage investing in yourself — in fact, I strongly encourage it. But I also believe in listening to your intuition. If you’re on the fence, pause and ask yourself whether the substance truly matches the promise. The good news is that I have continued investing in myself — just with programs that actually deliver on what they offer. As I approach my upcoming renewal, Rainmakers is not the right fit for me, and I will not be renewing my membership.

22,000+ dollars later… Let me start with why I gave two stars instead of one: I met some amazing people (other ladies in the program) that I respect and admire. Now for the portions that deserve a one star: There is a program that is affiliated with Rainmakers called Stephen’s Free Stuff. This is a way of launching your product through the enticement of selling it with a hefty discount—and sometimes giving it away as free. People will fill out a form and then get reimbursed through Venmo on the backend. This is considered “cheating for sales rank” From Amazon TOS: “You may not provide compensation to buyers for purchasing your products or provide claim codes to buyers for the purpose of inflating sales rank.” Full disclaimer here…before I became aware of this violation of Amazon’s Seller Code of Conduct, I participated a few times to help other sellers get ranking. I launched my products in a way that was above board and Amazon was aware of every sale I made. It was harder and probably more expensive, but I slept at night knowing I couldn’t get banned for my launch strategy. Next, let’s discuss their woefully inadequate coverage of advertising on Amazon. This is—by far—one of THE most expensive aspects of selling on Amazon. But as a member, you must pay for an upgrade in order to learn the more specific aspects of PPC (advertising). Thank goodness for Helium 10’s Freedom Ticket and their course on PPC, where I have learned about ads and refining strategies of creating campaigns. Finally, I want to discuss their use of faith-driven tactics to make it sound like a company that operates with the highest integrity. Another example of this lack of integrity is a guest on their rainmaker podcast that receives high praise for scalping multiple gaming systems and then exploiting them to gamers. But phrases like “we are praying for you” and quotes from the Bible are sprinkled throughout their calls, thus leading potential buyers—Christian moms is their primary target audience—to believe that this is a successful and lucrative way to spend more time with their families. Having paid for the course, their recommended financial services program, filing a trademark with the USPTO, product photography, listing images, inventory, shipping, UPC bar codes, and numerous other charges that were not disclosed on the front end, my debt is approximately $22,000 and I haven’t been able to pay down very much of it because everything is going back to Amazon for their unsustainable fee structure and now credit card interest on the stacked credit cards that their financial company recommended. Caveat Emptor.

The challenge doesn’t provide much useful information, basically they use it as a sales tool to get you to buy into their $6,800 MasterMind program.

The program might as well be called 'Rainbow Makers' for its tendency to gloss over and censor the real challenges of launching an Amazon business. What they don't tell you is the plethora of additional costs beyond the basics of manufacturing, shipping and launch giveaways. Expect to grapple with expenses in legal, business, finance, storage, creative services, and, notably, advertising – a relentless expense that, in my experience, devoured all profits from my three product launches since July. Despite the program's quality content and coaches, it fails to cover crucial concepts, leaving participants unprepared. My journey was marked by tough, costly lessons due to these omissions. Efforts to share my real-world experiences with fellow participants were met with swift censorship, as my posts were deleted within hours. This pattern of overzealous moderation, which I've learned is not uncommon, adds to the frustration. Some invested moms were even removed for merely speaking the truth. For those seeking a passive income avenue to support their families, I advise caution and suggest looking for more transparent and realistic programs. If you still choose Rainmaker, be acutely aware of the potential storms ahead, despite the promise of rainbows. EDIT: In response to the Rainmaker reply, they are flat-out lying as a way to redirect blame – a tactic they use freely on anyone who challenges them. For the record, I watched about 90% of the courses, some multiple times. Some were bonus courses or unrelated to my business and weren't relevant to me. I also watched nearly all of the recorded weekly phone calls for Phase 3. As for their so-called advertising courses, I found their content unhelpful. Instead, I watched and listened to Helium 10 content and hours of YouTube videos. Clearly, RM is afraid of a little honesty and transparency.

At first, I really enjoyed these training videos. It’s true that there ARE sales pitches and you realize pretty much in the first video that they are going to try and upsell you. Which is EXTREMELY annoying and IMO, a terrible business practice IF you want people to trust you (take note: “common” business practice doesn’t make it a good one). But, nonetheless, I figured if it helped me learn a new skill and maybe start a fun business, I could look past their shady and deceptive intent. I’m a natural skeptic, so getting past day two was pretty miraculous. Speaking of “Day 2”…. I’ve read through these reviews and have seen the Rainmakers responses to people mentioning this “generous” willingness to refund your $47 (originally $100, just in case you forget that you’re getting this at a SUPER low cost 😉), and let me just say this loud and clear right here — this is NOT generous. There’s no way on earth you will know after day 2 whether or not this is a good investment. You have learned a FRACTION of the info at this point and are not even half way through the training week. Speaking of training week…. Unless you have 7 consecutive days you plan to sit down and take these courses, DO NOT SPEND YOUR $47!!! Seriously. They may accuse me of “poor thinking” by saying this, but for SOME of us, $47 isn’t small change. You may understand that you’re entering a 7-day challenge, but no where does it say it’s consecutive. And NOWHERE does it say that after the game of the challenge ends, not only will you not be able to participate in the challenge (there’s daily wins and prizes and stuff), but you ALSO will lose access to the training videos you just spent $47 for. Of course… they are SUPER generous, so if you want to gain back that access, you absolutely can… for a price :) So yes… unfortunately, this couple is BIT shady and I’d venture to say their real passive business is making money off of us. Not Amazon. As to your Costco example Stephen and Chelsea… it’s a terrible one. Because Costco samples are free (not $47) and you know what you’re getting up front. Also your gym membership example is also a terrible one. I can’t remember what it is because, well, I’ve lost access to the training videos I spent a decent amount of money for. But I do remember when you said it, was the first (and not the only) time I felt the all too familiar realization that you were probably a little shady. It’s ok. It’s very common. It’s just very commonly disappointing. I will say again that I did enjoy these videos and most of the information in them. I’m pretty ticked that I spent $47 for basically a 7-day online retreat and do not have access to what I paid for to even finish them. Since you say the information is SO basic and just an example, it really wouldn’t hurt you to at LEAST track the persons progress and WAIT for them to finish before revoking their access. A REALLY good business practice would be to let people know that the access to this $47 training is TEMPORARY. Because of the level of deceptiveness in just the very low and beginning levels of this community and company, I would absolutely not ever considering trusting them with more money. Unfortunately, I am a lost customer for you that would have had pretty great potential. **UPDATE: No, I will definitely not be giving you more of my money. "Extremely transparent" is a MASSIVE understatement. And still... no where do you let these customers know that their $47 is for temporary and very limited access. Also "insane value" is really subjective to the purchaser, regardless of how many winky faces you use. ;)

I really wanted to like this/pursue this, but unfortunately you have to be willing to compromise on your ethics. To be profitable and sustainable, you need to find CHEAP products made in China to resell for way more than they are worth. If you turn a blind eye and are willing to do so, then this is for you. I couldn’t bring myself to buy items from factories I’ve never seen and risk hurting other humans for my gain. I’m glad that I took the class honestly solely to see the scam behind most things on Amazon. I’ve become a more conscious buyer because of it.

I am going on day 7 of the rainmaker challenge and I feel like I only stuck it out in hopes that it would get better/more in-depth further in, but it didn’t. I should have requested a refund on day 2 and since I didn’t, I’m out a bunch of money. They talk about being action takers, but only a small amount of time each day shows you the how-to’s. There is a TON of fluff, sales pitches, and feel-good testimonials. Each daily video is around 1-1.5 hours long and the vast majority of that content is either pushing the power of positivity or trying to get you to upgrade and buy their extremely expensive courses. If you don’t upgrade, you’re just not an action taker. They encourage making risky financial decisions by using an analogy that compares waiting to buy their course when you aren’t in financial position to invest in it yet to waiting to go to the gym because you aren’t fit yet. The really tricky thing about this is that they aren’t completely wrong in what they’re saying. Sometimes people do have to take a leap of faith. It truly is hard to fail if you never give up. Retraining your brain to think “how can I?” instead of “I can’t!” is incredibly beneficial in a lot of areas. Positive thinking does help people to become successful… but those things are not everything. I cannot move past the fact that they are promising people positive outcomes and encouraging them to take on a massive amount of debt even if they may already be up to their ears in debt. In which case they wouldn’t be able to withstand the blow if success doesn’t come right away. This could cause a lot of harm! Also, I think they should make people more aware of the accounts and subscriptions you have to get for the course. If you don’t get these, you’re not an action taker! A Helium10 subscription costs $50-$100 a month. You will also be asked to sign up for an Alibaba account and possibly some others. These accounts and subscriptions are very important for this type of business, but I felt they should have been more upfront about them so I could have researched and planned better.
