Great professors but....
It wasn't worth it. I now have over $100,000 of student loans and I'm not working in my field. My degree is unfortunately not worth the paper it's printed on. That's not really anyone's fault but this is now somewhat of a bad memory. That said, I really did like a lot of my professors. They cared.

Excellent professors and great program
The instructors were knowledgeable and very willing to help me through the program. They were also very personable and interested in my success. My dissertation adviser was a great asset as I worked to complete my program providing insight to guide me along the way.

Disappointment of not finding a job
It was okay. I'm disappointed though for not helping us find a job. I asked if I can volunteer on any committee in TUI and wasn't offered any. I feel my PHD was a waste it time, effort and money especially that I'm not utilizing it is any doctoral perspective.

When did you graduate? Reach out to our career center - which also works with alumni - at [email protected]. We can also try to connect you with an alumnus in your field who may be willing to serve as a mentor.

Trident is NOT Touro--Yet they keep insisting on contacting me
I'm a proud graduate of the Cypress, California branch of Touro College, a fully accredited Ph.D. program. I graduated in 2007, prior to Touro College selling off this university to TUI University, which later became Trident University. I have never had anything to do with Trident University, yet they continue to contact me. I have no affiliation, pride, or connection to Trident University. I can not offer an opinion about their programs, the academic rigor required, or how helpful their professors are. I know nothing about them. However, I can say that they persistently contact me, without my permission and within the past week, they have sent several requests for a review. Now they have it. The 1 star rating reflects" "Bad--unacceptable experience, unreasonable and rude conduct" which is what I've experienced from Trident University.
UPDATE January 13, 2017. It is clear from Trident's response below that they didn't even bother to read my review. I did not experience any problems before or during graduation from Touro. Their curriculum was rigorous, the program fully accredited, and the professors were sincerely interested in student success. Trident appears to be a publicity/public relations machine that is more intent on getting the word out about their school than understanding feedback--even though they persistently asked for feedback. The feedback I gave is "I'm not a graduate of Trident, leave me alone." Instead, they kept sending me links to provide feedback. Then, when I did, they responded with a "non-responsive" sound bite about how great they are.
Response from Trident University· Jan 13, 2017
First we would like to apologize for the bad experience you had during and after your graduation. 2007 is a long time ago and there has been a lot of changes internally at Trident. As you probably know, Trident University has made a point of changing our culture with focus primarily on the student and their success. In fact, beginning about 4 years ago our new leadership along-side cooperative input from students, alumni, faculty and staff, Trident developed a set of values that we believe drive the long-term success of our students. These values are held up by two primary pillars, (1) Academic Success and (2) Compassionate Commitment. The values are outlined on website at https://www.trident.edu/why-trident/values/. We are confident that our students and alumni are having a much better experience today. Also note that we have launched a Career Services department that all students and alumni can contact and utilize this free service. More details are located at https://www.trident.edu/students-and-alumni/career-center/.

Review of my experience with TUI.
I found the format at TUI to very convenient and conducive for the adult learner. I completed the program in approximately 4 years. I would highly recommend the program to others.

The most important and accredited education that I received with in the pleather of mh degrees
Online degrees that are WASC accredited are not easy to accomplish. TUI was a great learning opportunity and has supported me in my career path to hold out as a PhD, Dr. which has elevated my esteemed career. Best Dr. Nieto
Response from Trident University· Nov 23, 2016
Dear Dr. Nieto, you are correct about the value of a WASC accreditation. Trident University is the first 100% online university accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Regional accreditation is widely considered by experts as the gold standard.
