Matrix Fitness is the WORST
Matrix Fitness makes possibly the worst workout equipment I've ever used. To start out, almost every machine has some crippling issue with either the angles or the resistance profiles (often, it's both). Machines will often have severely limited ranges of motion, poor angles that force your joints into uncomfortable positions, and resistance profiles that make certain exercises virtually useless. The worst offender has to be the Magnum seated row, with it's lack customizable hand/elbow positioning, it's uncomfortable internally-rotated "high handles," and it's lopsided resistance curve that sheds ALL resistance about halfway through the pull, leaving your arms completely weightless at the top "squeeze" position. The Magnum seated row is everything wrong with matrix summed up in one machine. Moreover, the machines look and feel like self-assembled kits from Temu. Something is severely off with the materials and/or the quality control. As if the bad angles weren't enough of a problem, you can't even count on them to be consistent. Machines will be cockeyed or uneven side-to-side, having angles that are different from left to right, arms that are different lengths, handles that are welded on at asymmetric angles on the same machine, etc. If I could melt down every piece of Matrix equipment ever made, I would. I might offer the scrap to Hammer Strength / Life Fitness to see if they could use it to make something better, but the quality of the metal is probably shit, and they therefore likely would not take it.
