the site claimed 10000 hours usage, i only used the lamp for about a year, approximately 2800 hours, but was told that verilux did not in fact support the advertised usage, so i had to buy new replacement at full price.

Hi G, 10,000 hours it the average life of the bulb. There are a variety of factors that influence the life of the lamp. Of course, we want to help people when their bulb fails earlier than expected, so our Customer Support Team has been in touch regarding your bulb purchase. These happy lights have changed my life. My only regret is that I didn't purchase them sooner. A must have during the winter months. Have made a huge difference in my mood and ability to focus. Too bad I can't give the lights 10 stars.

We recently ordered a replacement bulb for our Happy Light. After installing, it didn't fully illuminate so I contacted your Customer Service. Unfortunately, our light itself was the issue so you instructed me to return the new bulb for a total refund. I am so impressed with the prompt and courteous service that I will be ordering a new light!
