About these reviews

The projects are assigned and training is provided. But when it comes to payment, they assign worked hours randomly and very very less compared to what we have actually worked. It's been 3 months since I have been following up with managers, and everyone for a revised payment but no one has been responding. I highly recommend everyone to stay away from welo. They are a big time scam. I have screenshots and messages of anyone wanting to know hours worked, them requesting me to work at night and me spending my precious hours working. I have lost my time and money. Please look for other legit platforms if you are looking for remote work. STAY AWAY FROM WELO!!!

I've actually worked for this company…
I've actually worked for this company in the past so knew it wasn't a total scam but their upgraded onboarding processes are really bad- totally run by AI no humans involved at all. I did the "exams" then they said I'd "Got the job!" as my status. Then nothing, then after another week or so said "I'd not met the criteria". The onboarding exams were very glitchy - the last one ran out of time too quickly. The overall site experience is so confusing anyway, so many different aspects and hoops to jump through - and I'm really sorry I inputted so much personal information including financial info after "getting the job." I have asked for them to delete all personal information. My advice: Don't bother with WeLocalize it is a waste of time and I'm wary of the amount of info they ask for.

By far a scam
By far a scam - they take your personal data and they give it to other users, internally, before they make up all sorts of excuses to delete your job applications and your account altogether. This is the type of email you get after registering on their platform:
As part of our verification and security processes, your registration did not meet the requirements to move forward with your application. We’re unable to provide details about the specific factors considered as part of this process.
Your Welo Data account has been permanently deactivated as a result. This means you will no longer be able to access your profile or apply for future opportunities with Welo Data.

Unparalleled Incompetence
I was contacted by the WeLocalize team and invited to apply for an opportunity they felt I may have been a good fit for. This was a position requiring a long residency in Ireland and a strong grasp of Irish-English.
After making a 'WeLo Data' account (their portal), I began the application phase which started with a two question screener dealing with language fluency and time of residency in Ireland. After selecting maximum fluency and the highest option allowed for residency, I was automatically blocked from continuing to the application proper.
Feeling there must have been some kind of error as I clearly matched the key requirements to begin applying, I reached out to support only to be given a standard copy/paste reply within two minutes of my query which did not address any of the issues raised. After responding to that effect, a further response informed me no further information would be forthcoming and my WeLo account was to be permanently deleted, preventing applications to future opportunities.
From beginning to end this was an amateur operation and a tremendous waste of time. A special mention must go to the support staff whose discourtesy was especially impressive.

3 Months of Free Labor
3 Months of Free Labor, System Glitches, and Incompetent Support:
The Welocalize Scam
I have been with Welocalize for 3 months now, and despite passing almost all of their highly complex exams—which required hours of unpaid study and rigorous analysis—I have not earned a single dollar. Not even $1.
Every single time a project offer arrives or I attempt to apply, the platform fails. I am constantly hit with red traffic light errors, "project is full" messages, or generic system bugs. It is mathematically impossible to secure any work.
To make matters worse, their Zendesk support is completely useless. Whenever I open a ticket to report these technical glitches, this is what happens:
• Automated Ghosting: They take days, sometimes weeks, to reply.
• Copy-Paste Templates: The responses are completely automated templates that never answer my actual questions.
• Time-Zone Disconnect: Based on the reply times (3:00 AM - 4:00 AM), the support seems outsourced to a different time zone (likely India), showing a complete lack of localized infrastructure for workers.
• Ticket Closure Without Resolution: Agents systematically close tickets without fixing the problem. When I explicitly demand to escalate the issue to a manager, my request is completely ignored.
Welocalize expects professionals to pass grueling exams for free, but provides a broken platform and a support team that treats workers like numbers. Fix your system, stop hiding behind copy-paste templates, and escalate my tickets to an actual manager who can resolve this.

Do not sign up
If I could give less than one star I would. This website is definitely run by AI and is probably just collecting your data and not providing any of the actual opportunities for payment listed. I received an account deactivation for submitting an enquiry after a technical error on their behalf and received a poorly worded AI response.

Steer Clear !
Had a job posting sent to my email account and followed up on it. What a scam.
Applied and took a ton of assessments. Was offered a position on a mapping project. Filled out paperwork, signed contract. Was even told that if I took this position, I could not even post for or consider another project with them or any other employer.
Also set up payment / direct deposit.
Was given learning and assessment. Which I nailed.
Then told to wait for sign-off, and I could start tasking.
Several days go by. No update
I then started receiving messages that my application was not complete and to log in. - but the dashboard did not indicate this. I reached out for help. I was told to just be patient.
Again received several messages that my application was incomplete. I reached out again through proper support channels and, after three days, received this.
" Hello,
Thank you for applying to this position at Welo Data.
We regret to inform you that we will not be moving forward with your registration. We’re unable to provide further details regarding this decision.
Additionally, please be aware that your account has been permanently deactivated. This means you will no longer be able to log in to your profile or apply for any future opportunities.
We understand this may be disappointing, and we sincerely appreciate the time and effort you dedicated to the process.
Best,
Trust and Safety Specialist, Come
I have been locked out of my account and cannot access any of my information with them. I have reached out again and was told, No further information will be provided"
... STAY AWAY! I have a feeling that they just wanted my data and measurements from the assessments. I put in about 15 hours, completely uncompensated.

A scam to harvest data
I think this is just a scam to harvest data. You try applying for a job; You get an error mid-assessment telling you can't because you don't match the requirements, despite matching them.
After flagging the issue in a ticket, hoping for an explanation, this is what I got: "We regret to inform you that we will not be moving forward with your registration.
Best,"
It doesn't reply to my questions. No explanations.
It does scream "scam", right?
