I found out about Windsock.ai through my new AOPA membership. I was getting close to my first time aircraft purchase and I thought I would give the service a try. Running the evaluation truly helped my confidence in my offer and helped me be substantially more comfortable with my purchase. It was a very positive experience and one that I plan to use if/when I purchase another plane and would recommend to others especially since AOPA members get several evaluations (12, if I recall) as part of the membership.

I used this as one of my AOPA options. It was very thorough and quick.

I purchased my Cessna 170 in 2019 and added some avionics for instrument training. I bumped up my insurance so I thought I was good to go. I tried Windsock (it's FREE for AOPA members!) to get a quick and dirty sanity check on what I thought the plane was worth. It was certainly quick but far from dirty. The plane lookup feature by N-number is outstanding so I don't have to fill in a bunch of data. The "enter a string of avionics and we'll sort it out for you" is amazing. WAY better than the hunt and peck see if you can figure out what we have avionics lookup of other valuation software. Very quickly it produced a number, followed in a few minutes by a detailed "this is how we came up with the value" 12 page report complete with charts, graphs, and explanations. I was pretty amazed that I undervalued (and underinsured!) my aircraft. The value came in 30% higher than I expected. Great to know for pricing if I ever plan to sell. Even greater to know for insurance. I do data analytics and AI for a living, and I appreciate their detailed descriptions of how they came up with the result. So... I'm very happy!

I used Windsock for two purposes recently and I was very pleased with their product. I used it to check the pricing on several planes that I was considering making an offer on to get independent data regarding the value of the planes. For the record their valuation was within an immaterial difference from the listed price. I also used it to determine the value of my plane that I will selling. It was reassuring to have this data in both instances. Their customer service was professional when I had questions about the program. 5 Stars!!!!!

I really loved trying out Windsock when looking at planes for purchase - they made the process of getting a true valuation really easy and feel seamless. Huge fan of what they've done.

I'm a private seller and this was my first aircraft sale. Over the years, the value of the plane had changed drastically. I had added new avionics, time on the engine, and the market shifted. Windsock gave me the confidence to list my plane at a fair price and I was able to get it sold within one month! I highly recommend using this product and I'm sure to use it again for my next purchase!

Since AOPA, without warning, pulled the plug on their Vref app, I’ve been searching for a suitable replacement. Windsock is FAR better than the Vref ever was. It’s fast and simple to use, highly intuitive and provides a detailed report. In my opinion, it is important for all aircraft owners to annually track the real value of their aircraft to avoid falling into the trap of being over or under insured each of which is equally risky. Windsock easily and painlessly fills that bill.

I needed to get valuations on multiple aircraft in a variety of types and this site made the process super easy. My favorite part was being able to paste the avionics and equipment lists into a single box that would then auto populate into the valuation, saving a ton of time! The report was emailed to me quickly and in a well organized report that was easy to read. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an aircraft valuation!
