Die anfangs regelmäßigen Office Hours wurden zunehmend seltener und teilweise sehr kurzfristig angekündigt. Dort besprochene zusätzliche Regeln wurden nach meiner Erfahrung nicht zuverlässig in den Styleguide übernommen. Gleichzeitig enthielt dieser widersprüchliche Anweisungen, fehlerhafte Beispiele und fehlende Informationen. Trotz wiederholter Hinweise blieben notwendige Klarstellungen aus. Besonders problematisch finde ich, dass unter diesen Bedingungen die Arbeit bewertet wird. Wer sich an die verfügbare Dokumentation hält, sollte nicht wegen einer anderen persönlichen Regelauslegung schlechter bewertet werden. Einzelne hilfreiche Hinweise von QAs gab es durchaus. Sie konnten jedoch eine verlässlich erreichbare, fachlich fundierte Betreuung nicht ersetzen. Mein Fazit: Die pünktliche Bezahlung ist ein klarer Pluspunkt. Bei Erreichbarkeit, Unterstützung und fachlicher Führung habe ich dagegen erhebliche Defizite erlebt. Babel sollte dringend in qualifizierte Ansprechpartner, verbindliche Antworten und einen vollständigen, widerspruchsfreien Styleguide investieren.

After listening to the files, I had to "answer" three questions by simply moving a slider toward A or B, depending on which one sounded more natural more human to me. Today I received the verdict: I was rejected, naturally. The reason given was that my audio files didn't meet their standards. Now, I’d like to know: Which audio files? The ones you sent me? I never submitted any audio files myself; my only task was to evaluate them. There wasn't even a section where I could explain the reasoning behind my choices. I call this an unfair business practice. Essentially, you get people to sign up for your platform, harvest their data (which you then resell to other companies), and have them perform work disguised as "tests" meaning unpaid labor only to reject candidates using the first excuse you can find. Unfortunately for you, I’m well aware of how companies like yours operate, so I make a habit of taking screenshots and recording videos of these tests. I am now attaching this evidence to your email response and handing the matter over to a lawyer; let's see if we can put a stop to these practices.

Absoluter Betrug. Habs bei Indeed gefunden und da stand "110 USD/h". Das stimmt absolut nicht, nicht mal ansatzweise. Außerdem stand da, dass die Bewerbung weniger als 10 Minuten dauert. Auch komplett gelogen. Direkt bei der Bewerbung muss man einen Test machen, und da stehen geschätzte Zeiten dran - die Zeiten ergeben zusammen über 30 min, und so ist das auch. Finger weg von der Abzocke!
