Got through the exams

I decided to work on getting my CPA after being graduated for 14 years. I liked Becker's review course because it provided a clearly laid out plan with step by step instruction. I worked the plan exactly as it was laid out, included the supplemental questions and final review. I passed BEC the first time with an 87. The one thing I was concerned about was the amount of IT on the exam that wasn't covered in the course. For example, I had a big simulation that was entirely on a relational database, and focused on primary keys, foreign keys, etc. This was touched on very lightly in the review course, and didn't prepare me at all for this simulation. I mostly guessed on the entire simulation, and I was sure I would fail. But I ended up doing a lot better than I anticipated.

I completed my accounting degree almost 10 years ago and have been practicing as a nurse with no exposure to anything accounting-related since that time. I recently made a career switch and decided to finally sit for the CPA exam. I followed Becker's "Exam Day Ready" guidelines and successfully passed BEC on the first try.

It’s been great so far! Just passed FAR with an 83!

Becker helped me pass my first exam in first attempt and I couldn’t have done it without Becker study material and lectures. I would highly recommend Backer for anyone preparing for CPA.

One of the instructors talks too fast. Another one is a bit boring. The best one so far has been Michael Brown. I enjoy listening to him. Has sense of humor and does excellent job explaining and giving real world examples.

The study material is very helpful. When I took the REG portion of the CPA exams, I found all questions to be familiar. The lectures explain the material well and the MCQ and SIMS reinforce that.
