Boot.devReviews of boot.dev

I'm obssesed. After trying many different courses, nothing has grabbed my attention as strongly as Boot.dev. The methodolody is incredibly engaging. The gamified mechanics are not only charming and fun, but also give incentives to keep studying. It's just such a satisfying way to learn. On top of that, the concepts are explained with great skill. It's just wonderful.

Makes me used to writing code with no plumping

This was the first course website that really hooked me for a long time - I was practically addicted to it. Completing the courses was a lot of fun, not boring studying. Many of the things I learned have come in handy in my professional life, and they were presented in an accessible and straightforward way. I definitely recommend it - everything works great, and reaching the Archmage level gives you the satisfaction of having made it all the way to the end.

This is the first course I have managed to keep going with. Its course content in bite size chunks and gameification really works for my ADHD. Challenging but also very rewarding, enjoying following the learning path.

Not beginner friendly at all. This doesn't teach you how to think like a programmer, just tells you the name of something and examples, but doesn't explain how anything works. Just "trust me, this works" which is frustrating because I want to know the WHY so I can actually program on my own. I DO NOT recommend this site for anyone starting out. There are better FREE resources on YouTube. I'm just glad I never bought the subscription. It's just as bad as Duolingo for learning a new language. Also, the interface is cluttered, distracting, and SUPER SLOW. I will NOT be revisiting this site.

I like it. Python course could be better; or I just have a skill issue lol.
