Overall Cracker Barrel has home made comfort foods. They took off my favorite desert, the hot fudge mug sundae, and then they took off my favorite meal, chicken fried chicken. Well technically they didn't take it off the menu, they added buttermilk fried chicken, and chose to change the batter on the chicken fried chicken to the same buttermilk coating. It's greasier now than it used to me, and has a different flavor than I like. I think it's a great place to stop on road trips for reliable food and a nice atmosphere. LOVE their country store.

I went to eat there and had a Grilled Cheese and a Salad. While I was eating my Salad, I had something hard in the lettuce. It looked like a slither of wood or a bone. I told my Server. She insisted that it was part of my salad. I told her it couldn't have been. There was no meat in my salad. So she went to get Hersha to come to talk to me. And would not come to my table. So I told her I was not going to pay for a Salad that I did not eat. So she went and told manager Hersha, which never did come talk to me. So finally, my meal was paid for by them. Very rude, I might add. So I left. I may not go back to eat there if it;s that hard to talk to a mngr. about a problem.

They advertise hot fried chicken, mine wasn't. It had been sitting for hours, tasted liked Food Lion next day chicken or chicken from a convenient mart. Mashed potatoes were thick and dry. My bill was $28.78. The cats liked the chicken.
