I thought I couldn't go wrong with buying DeWalt tools and, better yet with 3 year warranty. They are scammers, this 3 year warranty is useless. How does the variable speed part of a DCF885 20 volt impact gun develop a faulty trigger on a rarely used and lightly used battery impact gun. I have lost any fath in these scammers since I was told it is not covered after just over two years. Really regret now buying other tools from these chiselers. I will just be forced to dump all my tools and sell them and try some other scammer tool manufacturer. Jerks!

Good Power, Awkward Design
I’ve been using the DEWALT DCD791 drill, and while it has plenty of power, the grip gets uncomfortable during longer jobs.

Dewalt DW735 defects
As a veteran woodworker with 40 years of experience, I bought the DeWalt DW735 planer after countless peers recommended it as the best on the market. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. Over time, both the main planer bed and the table extensions became concave. When measured directly under the cutter head, the bed dipped by 0.008 inches on one side, resulting in workpieces that came out noticeably thicker in the middle.
When I contacted DeWalt customer service, they informed me that this warping, especially on the extensions, was considered "normal" wear. Because the three-year-old machine was out of warranty, correcting the issue required purchasing a brand-new bed plate and two extension wings. The total cost of parts and labor would have exceeded the actual value of the planer. I have since gotten rid of the planer and replaced it with a planer from another brand. I highly recommend that all DW735 owners regularly check their beds and extensions for deformities.

Dewalt 16 Gallon Vac Hose is JUNK!
Dewalt 16 Gallon Wet Dry Vac is a great tool with a terrible hose that renders this expensive vac all but unusable. You’d think the engineers at DeWalt did this on purpose. The hose is far too short, there is no swivel connector on the tool end which makes this otherwise great tool apiece of junk. For this reason I DONOT RECOMMEND this tool. DO BETTER DEWALT!

Great products, but deceptive promotional practices from DEWALT
I have always respected DEWALT for the quality of their power tools, but my recent experience with their promotional campaign was extremely disappointing.I made a purchase of over 2,300 RON specifically to qualify for a promotion that promised a free DEWALT XR Bluetooth speaker upon reaching that spending threshold. The promotional material explicitly stated that buying tools over 2,300 RON allows you to claim the gift—it was framed as a direct claim upon purchase, not a raffle or lottery. However, after submitting my proof of purchase, my claim was rejected with a simple explanation that "stocks had run out". Meanwhile, the promotional banner continued to run without any visible notice or disclaimer indicating that the gifts were no longer available. Continuing to advertise a free gift to drive high-value purchases when the stock is already depleted feels like a misleading commercial practice. While the physical tools deserve 5 stars for performance, I am lowering my rating due to the lack of transparency, broken promotional promises, and poor customer support experience.

Brand new planer broke, can't get DeWalt to help
I bought a brand new DEWALT DW735X Thickness Planer two months ago, and it suffered an immediate internal mechanical failure (seized gearbox and locked drive chain) during normal use.Trying to use the Warranty has been a nightmare:
No Local Support: The Factory Service Center in Seattle is permanently closed, and there are no authorized independent shops in my region.
System Failure: The ToolServiceNet portal automatically rejects heavy benchtop machinery for mail-in labels.
Rude Customer Service: Chat reps were useless. Phone agents were actively rude and told me I must ship it away at my own hassle and wait a month or more to see it again.
As a woodworker, a month-long delay halts my livelihood. DEWALT completely failed to provide the service they advertise. Stay away if you expect reliable warranty fulfillment.

Cordless DeWalt tools are they really worth it?
When I first purchased DeWalt tools, I believed I was making a sound investment. However, after years of use and numerous battery replacements, I can no longer recommend them. The batteries do not last as long as those from other brands or even inexpensive knockoffs. For instance, I bought my wife an affordable screw gun/drill for home projects, charged its battery, and months later—despite sitting unused—it still delivered ample power. In contrast, a fully charged DeWalt battery will often be completely dead after sitting idle for just a week or less, sometimes emitting a faint burnt electrical odor. They struggle to hold a charge, frequently fail to charge fully—indicating only two out of three or three out of four lights—and rarely last through a full day’s work. As a result, they spend more time on the charger than in operation. If possible, I would have DeWalt repurchase every tool, battery, and charger I own so I could switch to another brand, perhaps Milwaukee, for greater power and quality. I have decided to stop buying DeWalt, as I believe they are overpriced and of inferior quality. If I must continually replace short-lived batteries, I would prefer to invest in a different brand. DeWalt does produce excellent corded tools, which I will continue to purchase, but their cordless lineup is not worth the investment. It is time to begin replacing these tools with superior products and selling off my DeWalt equipment. So 2 stars for cordless, 5 stars for corded tools.
