I had an unusual situation which required FA to understand many details at several layers in their organization. We hit several tripping points where their inability to understand almost stopped the process. My loan specialist, Nigel Goddard, persevered, though, and kept things on track until we closed. He was the reason we were able to make the loan happen. Perhaps some kind of expediting function within FA with a smaller number of people to understand complexities would be useful in unusual circumstances.

Finance of America Reverse made a seemingly daunting task of getting a reverse mortgage pretty simple and straightforward. Kudos to Joshua Zimmer who was extremely helpful, informed and patient throughout the process. He walked us through each step along the way, worked thru the numbers and told us what to expect and everything he outlined in the proposal was exactly what the final closing docs reflected. I shopped around and got proposals from other places and their proposals had similar numbers but described it as a fairly long and complicated process which worried me. Josh was diligent in ushering through all aspects of the loan and it all came together easily and expediently for us. I would recommend Josh to friends & family.

We found the people with whom we dealt to be very helpful in what was probably not the usual situation, such as a condo with a "not very cooperative" HOA..
