I am an apprentice electrician. I also happen to be a woman who made a mid-life career change to enter the construction industry. I recently bought a hi-vis winter coat from Full Source, as I got tired of wearing an oversized (for me) hi-vis vest over my other gear. Women in construction know the challenges of finding a good fit. Our IBEW newsletter even had an article about the difficulty of finding suitabele PPE last summer (July 2024 issue of "The Electrical Worker," if memory serves). Full Source is a legit company, but they don't send a lot of confirmation messages once your order is placed. This is good in that they don't spam the crap out of you, but if you're a bit nervous about whether the order went through or whatever, do not dispair. Your order WILL arrive. After placing my order and seeing the payment on my statement I was a little nervous, but I waited patiently and within about 10 days, my coat arrived. It's everything I had hoped for and then some. It was manufactured in Ireland and meets EU standards for cold and wind protection. It's sized just as advertised, and I am extremely happy with the fit. It had a bit of a chemical odor to it when I took it out of the package, but that was corrected by a day or two airing out on the line. If anything, I wish they had a little more on their website detailing the finer points of this product, but I get that women in the trades are a tiny minority. This coat is a very good product though and deserves an upsell. CONS: Company is not super good at sending confirmation messages related to the order, and website doesn't list all the awesome details about the product/(s) you might order. PROS: Product is excellent and produced in a country with ethical standards for workers, and they have PPE appropriately sized and DESIGNED for women. I WILL return to Full Source next time I need some PPE gear. I was going to give 4/5 because of the communication thing, but I found this invite to rate them when cleaning out my over-full email inbox, so maybe that's on me, so I changed it to 5/5. Well done, Full Source team! Love the coat. My 2 cents.
