Unauthorized Early Billing & Premature Retaliatory FraudRecord Entry
I am writing this review to document serious billing issues and retaliatory administrative actions experienced with GoodLeaf Hosting & Development LLC.
Unauthorized Advance Auto-Billing: My service was auto billed $31.72 seventeen (17) days early for a future billing cycle (October 3, 2026 cycle billed on September 16, 2026) immediately following a cancellation request.
Refusal of Full Refund: When raised in support tickets, support offered account credit or a 50% partial refund rather than reversing the unauthorized advance invoice, forcing a formal stop payment/billing dispute through my bank.
Retaliatory & False FraudRecord Reporting: Prior to any official chargeback notification or arbitration, the host prematurely submitted a Severity 10 report on FraudRecord claiming I "charged back every transaction." This was entirely false, as I explicitly permitted them in support tickets to keep all payments for the active, current month's service already rendered.
Full ticket logs, invoice timestamps, and administrative dispute filings are documented. Prospective customers should be aware of these billing practices and retaliatory platform reports upon cancellation.
Update: Good Leaf’s response publicly confirms the core issues. The host explicitly admits to auto-billing advance invoices weeks early and admits to threatening FraudRecord filings if billing practices are challenged.
Furthermore, their claim regarding dispute scope remains inaccurate: active service periods were paid in full, and the only transaction disputed was the single $31.72 advance auto-debit processed 17 days early for an unstarted billing cycle following an immediate cancellation request. Full ticket logs, bank statements, and timestamps remain documented.

The client has been reported by multiple hosting companies for this same behavior, see attached:
https://i.imgur.com/9oAhaXh.png
This review was also written with AI; the client was offered a 50% refund or a 100% refund to account credit. The client advised he was going to dispute all charges, so the client was informed of what would happen if he did that, which would be a report to FraudRecord and FraudLabs. Advanced auto-billing was authorized at signup as per our tos, client attempted to say it's against banking regulations to charge early (it is not).

GoodLeaf kept changing their story, charged my card early, then terminated my service
I opened my GoodLeaf account on August 22, 2026 and paid $114.99. I started receiving service around August 23, but starting September 1 I could not access my VPS.
GoodLeaf had already posted that they were having issues with Path Networks, and support also told me directly that the issue was coming from Path Networks. They offered to migrate my server and told me my files and data would be fine. I was later told the migration was successful.
Then I opened another ticket about GoodLeaf automatically charging my card another $99 only about 12 days after I started service and around 18 days before my next payment was actually due.
That is when, in my opinion, the whole tone changed.
The same person who was involved in both tickets appeared to be either the owner or someone in upper management, and it was very clear to me that he was in his feelings over the billing dispute instead of just handling the situation professionally.
After I questioned the unauthorized early charge, I was suddenly told that my connection problem had nothing to do with Path Networks and that I simply had not whitelisted myself properly. He even started commenting about my connection ticket inside my billing ticket until I requested he stay in the other ticket with any additional details.
Anyway, I personally do not believe that explanation. It directly contradicted what I had already been told about Path Networks and what GoodLeaf had posted themselves. Plus, I whitelisted myself properly, which is why I was able to use the service from the 23rd of August to the 1st of September.
Then after already being told that my server migration was successful, I was later told that the migration had failed and asked if I had a backup of my data.
Because of the timing, I honestly believe the sudden claims about me not whitelisting properly and the migration supposedly failing were connected to the billing dispute I had opened. I cannot prove what was going through anyone’s mind, but that is how the situation looked to me based on the sequence of events and the changing explanations.
On the billing side, I was told they invoice 19 days early and that early invoicing was optional. My issue was not getting an invoice early. My issue was them automatically taking another $99 from my card that early without my authorization. I hadn't even seen if the service was what I wantedd being it had been down multiple days already.
When I revoked authorization for GoodLeaf to keep automatically charging my payment method, I was told they would have to terminate my service.
I never asked them to terminate my service.
After they terminated it, I was then told it was terminated “as per your request.”
The customer service from the person handling both tickets was horrible and very unprofessional in my opinion. He came across as emotional, defensive, and combative instead of actually trying to resolve the problem.
I have screenshots of the full conversations from every ticket, not just individual messages. I also have the outage notice, invoices, charges, migration messages, billing conversations, and termination messages.
I have the receipts for everything I am saying.
If GoodLeaf believes anything in this review is wrong, they are welcome to point out exactly what they claim is false and provide the full ticket or billing record showing otherwise.
If anyone else has similar issues, save everything and report legitimate complaints to the FTC, New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, your state consumer protection office, and your bank or card issuer.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend GoodLeaf. They are very unprofessional. This could have been peaceful, but I have time today.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We want to clarify several points because portions of this review do not accurately reflect our records or the circumstances surrounding the account.
The connectivity issue referenced in this review was investigated by our team. While GoodLeaf did experience a separate issue involving one of our network providers during this general timeframe, that does not mean every connectivity issue experienced by every customer was caused by that provider. After further troubleshooting, we identified configuration and access-related issues specific to this service and communicated those findings through the support tickets.
Regarding the migration, our team attempted to assist with moving the service as part of troubleshooting. Unfortunately, the migration did not ultimately complete successfully. We understand the frustration caused by conflicting updates during that process, and we acknowledge that communication surrounding the migration could have been clearer.
Regarding billing, our system generates invoices in advance according to the billing schedule associated with the service. Automatic payments are processed when automatic payment authorization is enabled on the account. We strongly dispute the characterization that GoodLeaf intentionally made an "unauthorized" charge. The customer's billing concerns were addressed through the support system and the applicable account and payment settings were explained.
When the customer advised us that GoodLeaf was no longer authorized to automatically process the payment method associated with the service, we explained the options available under our billing policies. The service was subsequently terminated following that discussion. This was not retaliation for questioning a charge or opening a billing ticket.
We also strongly reject the suggestion that technical decisions, migration results, or account actions were deliberately manipulated because the customer raised a billing dispute. Those allegations are speculation and are not supported by our records.
We recognize that the customer was dissatisfied with both the technical and billing experience, and we regret that the interaction reached this point. However, we believe it is important that readers distinguish between documented events and assumptions regarding the motives of our staff.
GoodLeaf maintains records of the relevant support tickets, billing activity, and account history and stands behind the factual information provided through our support system.

Disappointing Support, Billing Disputes, and Poor Communication
As an experienced server administrator running a QBCore framework, reliable infrastructure and professional support are non-negotiable. Unfortunately, my experience with GoodLeaf Hosting & Development LLC fell short of basic industry standards.
1. Difficult Cancellation Process
When I decided to transition my services to another provider, the cancellation process lacked transparency. Instead of handling the request through standard support channels, I received an unprompted phone call to my personal number. The communication from the representative was highly unprofessional, including inappropriate remarks regarding my background. Every client deserves respectful communication, regardless of their native language.
2. Unwarranted Fees and Bank Resolution
During the cancellation process, I experienced unexpected billing issues, including sudden arbitrary fees and statements suggesting my personal credit would be impacted. I took this matter directly to my personal bank. After reviewing all the communications and documentation, my bank ruled entirely in my favor, reversing the dispute and confirming that these charges were unwarranted.
3. Third-Party Recommendations
Additionally, I was referred to a third-party developer by their team. The services provided did not meet acceptable development standards, despite the premium rates being charged.
Response from GoodLeaf Hosting· Sep 19, 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We dispute several of the statements made in this review and would like to provide additional context.
Regarding cancellation, GoodLeaf does not require customers to handle cancellations by phone, and a phone conversation does not replace the normal account or support process. We also strongly dispute the characterization of the conversation described here, including the allegation that inappropriate comments were made regarding the customer's background.
Regarding billing, fees are not arbitrarily added to customer accounts. Any charges applied to an account are based on the service, account activity, or applicable terms. We also dispute the suggestion that GoodLeaf improperly threatened the customer's personal credit. A bank or card issuer reversing a transaction through its dispute process does not, by itself, establish that a merchant acted improperly or that a charge was "unwarranted."
Finally, any recommendation or referral to an independent third-party developer is separate from the hosting services provided by GoodLeaf. We cannot guarantee or assume responsibility for the quality, pricing, or outcome of work independently performed by a third party.
We take legitimate complaints seriously and maintain records of our support and billing communications. We welcome factual criticism, but we also believe it is important that statements regarding our employees, billing practices, and business conduct accurately reflect what occurred.

Run as fast as you can.
I made a ticket inquiring about more storage and had mentioned my old host compensated for windows and they proceeded to start a whole argument demanding I tell them which hosting companies do this and such and after I said that was pretty darn rude they SUSPENDED my VPS with no warning in an attempt to make me lose my fivem server however I back up my server daily thank goodness. The owner of this so called hosting company proceeded to private message me to keep arguing in which at that point I did curse him out as that is NOT ok. He then proceeded to message my wife in which didn't go well for him either. This is NOT a good place to spend your money.
Edit: I dont care how many times you try to flag my review I will fight it everytime. There is no false information shared here if anything I left some details out. Thank you Trust Pilot for keeping my review up!
Response from GoodLeaf Hosting· Aug 11, 2026
Hello,
The statements in this review do not accurately reflect what occurred.
You contacted our support team regarding additional storage and mentioned that your previous hosting provider had compensated you for Windows licensing by providing additional storage and asked us to do the same. Since this is not an industry practice we were familiar with, our staff simply asked for the name of the previous provider so we could review their offering and determine whether a comparable arrangement or price match was possible.
Following that request, the conversation became increasingly hostile toward our staff. You then stated that you intended to dispute the payment for your service. Initiating or threatening a payment dispute is a violation of our Terms of Service, which is why the VPS was suspended. The suspension was not an attempt to cause you to lose your FiveM server or data.
Approximately a week later, our payment processor notified us that the transaction had in fact been disputed. In accordance with our Terms of Service, the disputed balance and applicable dispute fee were added to the account and became subject to our normal collections process.
A representative also attempted to contact you directly in an effort to resolve the outstanding balance without further escalation. Unfortunately, that conversation also became hostile and included profanity directed toward our representative.
We understand that you are unhappy with how the situation ended, but we believe it is important that the full context is available to anyone reading this review.

Deceptive Business Practices, Hidden Fees, and Extreme Unprofessionalism
I am writing this to alert the community about my experience with GoodLeafDev. What started as a standard VPS purchase quickly turned into a textbook case of "bait and switch."
1. Hidden Fees: I purchased a VPS advertised with high-capacity DDoS protection included on the sales page. Immediately after payment, the staff opened a ticket demanding an additional $10 just to activate the protection I had already paid for.
2. Verbal Abuse: When I requested a refund based on their 48-hour guarantee, the support interaction became extremely toxic. Instead of professional assistance, I was met with severe verbal insults and vulgar language from their representative.
3. Retaliation: Shortly after I initiated a dispute, my account was banned from both their Discord and their website under the guise of "conduct towards staff," effectively locking me out of the service I paid for and attempting to remove the evidence of our conversation.
4. Predatory Terms: Their legal terms include threats of excessive "administrative fees" for payment disputes, which seems designed to intimidate customers from exercising their consumer rights.
I have full documentation, including invoices, screenshots of the hidden fee demands, and the unprofessional conduct of their staff. I successfully recovered my funds through a dispute. Stay away if you value transparency and respect.
Response from GoodLeaf Hosting· Aug 11, 2026
Hello,
We would like to clarify several claims made in this review, as they do not accurately represent what occurred.
The VPS service purchased included our standard DDoS protection. The additional $10 discussed in the ticket was related to an optional configuration/service and was not a fee required to activate protection that had already been purchased. At no point was the advertised service intentionally withheld after payment.
Regarding the refund request, our refund policy is governed by the eligibility requirements listed in our Terms of Service. Unfortunately, the support interaction escalated significantly, including inappropriate language and conduct directed toward our staff. We do not condone unprofessional communication from either customers or representatives, and we have reviewed the interaction internally.
The account restrictions were not imposed to conceal conversations or prevent access to evidence. They were the result of the customer's conduct toward staff and the subsequent payment dispute. Our policies permit us to restrict or terminate accounts in circumstances involving abusive conduct, chargebacks, or violations of our Terms of Service.
Our dispute-related administrative fees are also disclosed within our Terms of Service and are intended to cover the costs and administrative burden associated with payment disputes. Customers remain free to use the dispute mechanisms available through their payment provider.
We respect everyone's right to share their experience, but we also believe prospective customers deserve the full context surrounding an incident. We maintain records of the relevant support conversations, billing activity, and account actions and stand behind the actions taken in accordance with our policies.
