14 day challenge yes, but not more
I took away a lot from the 14 days course and will follow through it, even if it was just general advice and practices. I wished for more personalization or even simpler tips like ”the best technique for washing/drying/combing your hair”, but of course this is just an introduction to hair health, you cannot explain everything in just a small timeframe. I loved Sarah’s energy and therefore the next course was really really tempting, but roughly 1000$ was a sum that kept me gulping. Do I think I am worth it? Yes, but… In the past I made some impulse purchases I regretted, because I got pressured with all the cool freebies I only get within time X. Or I had high hopes in things that in the end disappointed me. And this is just a too high price for an impulse purchase. So I learnt to go to here first. And at the first glance it looked very promising. I mean 1400+ reviews and a rating of 4.8. That's incredible! Of course I knew from the start that for sure there are more courses to buy or memberships to subscribe and that of course it will be promoted at the end of the course. That's marketing. But to read here that most of the 5*- reviews were written because people were promised a freebie in the challenge is absolutely devastating. How can I take all the “success stories” testimonies from throughout the challenge for real now? What is real and what was written just to get something for free? (I know trustpilot has a policy against this but honestly how they gonna know...) I understand the practice as people don't like to give good reviews that easily, so you have to give them a motivational something. But it really doesn't give me a good feeling to invest further. So overall, I think the 14-day challenge was worth the money for me, because for me there was a lot new info and so far I think my new awareness helps me. But 1000$ based on faked reviews? I am really not sure how different this whole thing is from the beauty-/lifestyle-/medical industry that just wants us to stay in a rather unsatisfying state, that Sarah criticizes… Furthermore, I am not convinced that more questions about my hair and life can really define my hair profile, without a proper (and probably expensive) lab analyses. So, after watching the last video, that promised me like the most life changing whatsoever, but gave me a 45 minutes sales pitch, the whole experiences ends with a slightly bitter taste. Sad
