I had an appointment for my child. I was having trouble logging in to the video meeting and called to let them know. They then CANCELLED my appointment as soon as I got off the phone with them. Absolutely ridiculous to have to reschedule after having issues with access. I don't have the time off of work to mess around like this!

We were quite disappointed with our experience with Hazel Health. It took around two months for my daughter to be seen by a therapist - our school counselor had told us it would be just a matter of days, so this delay was drastically different from our expectations. When scheduling appointments, I was sent an email at 7 pm, offering us a time slot, after we finished dinner and I was getting ready to write back and accept the appointment, I was told it had already been given to someone else. When I asked why it was reassigned so quickly, I was told that I should reapply for therapy next year if my daughter still needed it. When my daughter finally met with a therapist, her biggest and most consistent feedback was that “she seemed really tired.” My daughter didn’t feel like she could open up because it felt like her problems were bothering the therapist. The therapist’s energy was so low, my daughter felt like she “couldn’t handle big emotions.” I appreciate that this is a free program for children, but it’s marketed to school counselors as being much more efficient and beneficial than it actually is. I’m grateful we didn’t have to pay out of pocket, but I would love for our district to explore other telehealth options - there have to be better ones out there. The program’s mission is wonderful. The execution, unfortunately, is quite poor.
