Pro subscriber. Since days I couldn't upload a single image. My work stopped completely. I did everything support asked. Nothing worked. All I got were copy and paste answers, generic messages up and down. Then they read my message after hours , then ignored it. Not recommend at all 😕 Days without working. No solution. No responsibility. But they'll happily charge me again. Kittl is quick to take your money. When you need help, nobody is there.

I've been using Kit for my business since the beginning of 2026 and today I received this message: "Thanks for this information and your interest in using Kit. At this time, we don't believe that our platform is the right fit for your business, so we are unable to support your account. To maintain a healthy reputation, Kit has strict policies around the content types, engagement rates, and list health that we require in order to use our platform. You can find our Acceptable Use Policy here. Per those terms, your account will be closed within 24 hours. Please remove all the data you need before we close your account. We wish you the best." So almost 1 YEAR without ANY problems, I have open rates above 30%, no complaints, no bounces or unsubscribe rates that hit any "danger" zone but they decided to just close my account. I run Meta ads and spend good amount of money so subscribers are coming in. Now, I need an urgent alternative of this scam (Kit.com ConverKit) to move all of my data and sequences. Is a mess. Another interesting fact: in all this this I have sent a few broadcasts so I've paid Kit just to "host" my leads and customers. If you're running a real business, DO NOT EVER use this service.

Not available on the $40 subscription, only on the $80 "pro" subscription. The chances of your emails landing in spam are much higher without it.

I used ConvertKit to build 2 newsletters in the past and I actually enjoyed using it. That was before it became "kit". A few weels ago I tried creating a new account for my new newsletter in the finance niche - I have an established, solid audience on social, but no newsletter yet. I started setting up everything from scratch in Kit, verified custom domain, email verification, compliance related settings etc. I also spent a few hours creating the perfect signup landing page. As I was working on tweaks, the page suddenly went blank with the message "your account has been closed". I contacted support through chat and email. After bouncing me around a few times, I got an email saying Kit was "not a good fit for my business". I checked their policies and couldn't find anything applicable. They mention a few restrictions for the finance niche but that's for affiliate offers or scammy schemes. I just CANNOT BELIEVE Kit treats its customers this way. Not even a warning, no explanation, nothing. They just close your account! Guess a new list on the free plan is not profitable enough for them. So why offer it? I'm genuinely sick and tired of these "algorithms" (maybe it's a human reviewer in this case) abusing online marketers. If we stopped using these services, these guys would go bankrupt. This did have a positive consequence for me though: I realized I could very easily build my own newsletter infrastructure using Amazon SES and a free or cheap list management front end like Listmonk or EmailOctopus. And save the huge subscription fees Kit charges once you go past the free plan. Just use an AI chatbot to guide you. Anyway for me, just like for other reviewers here, KIT = NEVER AGAIN.

I signed up for Kit's 14-day free trial and built a six-part email course during it. When the trial ended, I found out the "free" plan I could actually get was not the free Newsletter plan advertised on their pricing page. That page lists a visual automation and an email sequence as free features. The only free plan offered to my account after the trial was broadcasts only, with none of that, and it locked the work I had built. To get the features advertised as free, I had to pay $39/month. There's also a catch that isn't disclosed at signup: the free Newsletter plan forces a Kit-managed recommendation shown to your subscribers that you cannot see, choose, or control, plus a public business profile. As a licensed financial professional who has to run public-facing content through compliance, that makes their free plan unusable for me, and nothing on the pricing page warns you about it. To their credit, a support rep did acknowledge the trial-versus-free-plan distinction was unclear and refunded a charge. But the underlying setup pushed me to pay to access my own work right before a scheduled launch. Know exactly which "free" you're signing up for, because starting the trial appears to forfeit the free plan you were shown.
