It was easy to download and translate I paid for extra downloads but I couldn't get back into it without you asking for more money so I couldn't download and open my second document

I to fell for the 0.99p - what I thought was a one off fee. Next thing £29.99 came out my account. Immediately got a refund under the 2013 consumer rights act 14 day cooling off period. No problem getting it, but I'm sick of these money grabbing dishonest companies, tricking you into subscriptions. They hope you won't notice. Gone are the days of any honesty, stay well away!

I used Makemepdf.com for what appeared to be a £0.99 one-time PDF conversion. Shortly after, I discovered a £29.99 recurring subscription had been applied, disclosed only in very small, easy-to-miss text at checkout. I did not knowingly consent to a recurring charge. This feels deliberately misleading and is exactly the kind of dark-pattern subscription practice UK consumers should be wary of. I contacted my bank immediately and requested cancellation and a refund from the company. If you only want a one-off PDF conversion, be extremely careful — there are many free or transparent alternatives available. I would not use this service again.

I tried unsuccessfully to convert a file to PDF for 1.99, only to find out that I had been charged £29.99 twice in two months. Don't use this service, it's a scam. When I tried to cancel it, which I did, they offered a two-year subscription, unlimited, for 1.99. This is evidence that they are aware it's a scam.
