I’ve been using Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder for years, and honestly, I find it extremely useful and very easy to use. 100% recommended.

After years of downloading files off of sites like Napster, BitTorrent and ripping my LP and CD collections to MP3 I had about 5TB of data. Over the years my collection became so cluttered with multiple copies of individual files it became almost impossible to copy data onto my devices without getting multiple copies of the same data. I downloaded the free version of Fast Duplicate File Finder and was amazed that the program removed around 25 to 30% of all the data on my external 8TB drive. Before deleting all the unwanted files they can be visually checked in case of error, but none seemed to be found. The program didn’t get every single duplicate but it did get most of them. It would be nice if it included an empty folder function as well as I have hundreds if not thousands of them too. I was so happy to finally get my drive cleaned I bought the Pro version as a thank you to the developers.

First I purchased the Audio Comparer. But afterwards I got unsure, whether the AudioDedupe should notb be a better solution. So I purcased a license of the A.D. 6.1.0.1. Indead it provided 25 more audio groups, which were duplicates for me: maybe a second longer break at start or end of the audio or a slightly variance in bitrate. However I found a duplicate classified only with 55% similarity by A.D. which for me was unlogically low rated and another duplicate classified with 55% as well, but was unfortunately another song. I informed the support about my findings; they answered friendly and professional. The support made no real hopes, because many claims came in, which could technally not be addressed. However after only a few hours I was given an updated version which should solve my critical findings. And indeed, all was ok; and even some further cases were detected as duplicates. I would like to highly recommend Audio Dedupe by Mindgems for recognizing and finding duplicate audio files. This is especially useful if you have a large mp3 collection and/or mislabeled files. It actually "listens" to the songs to make sure they are a match, not just by looking at ID3 tags, which is amazing. Their customer service helped me resolve an issue and followed up to make sure all was working. They have a demo version and reasonably priced basic and pro versions. Worth every penny if you need an accurate and fast way to identify duplicate songs in a large collection of audio files.

Recently purchased Audio Dedupe Pro, incredibly useful removing all those pesky dupes in larger collections reclaiming valuable space, just load folder and behold magic in just seconds, in all fairness I could not do this without it. Clean interface and easy to navigate, solid customer support from MindGems and program is actively maintained with a proper no fuss perpetual licensing. So for anyone with a large music collection?, this is definitely a nice bit looking into saving you from countless of tedious work, no question about that, cheers
