"AVOID"
"AVOID" I was interested in a laser from the Monport website. The Reno 65W Pro range. They had an Anniversary sale on, i noticed they had discount offers all over the site saying 10% off for first time buyers. I went to the check out to confirm prices, it wouldn't accept the 10% first time buyer discount, i emailed them as there are no contact numbers even though classed as being in the UK. The reply stated they cant stack discounts, ie Anniversary sale and first time buyer discount ! This means basically a first time buyer would be spending between £1 to £3k that they wouldn't get a first time buyer discount on. I fought hard and managed to get the FTB 10% discount on top of the Anniversary sale price, i slept on this offer and decided to cancel my order as i had a bad feeling about it all. I was told to think about it and if i wanted to save another £300 i could cancel the free extra laser tube that comes with the package. I noticed that the model above, the Reno 65W Pro Vision which included the camera and upgraded adjustable air assist and internal water chiller tank was £300 more than the model i was looking at so i decided to exchange the free extra laser tube in exchange for the Vision model.I contacted them numerous times asking questions about the new upgraded model, i asked if the upgraded air assist was better than the previous version, i was told yes, this new upgrade is adjustable but if i need to cut thicker materials i would need to do an upgrade myself to a compressor.I ordered a separate water tank, a 3000 chiller, i was told the new upgraded version has a built in water chiller tank so do i really need to order the separate one, i replied yes i will still order the 3000 chiller as it has a lot larger water tank.I also asked that if i fit the upgrade water chiller and an upgrade air assist would it affect the warranty in anyway ? I was told as long as i dont remove the original water tank or air pump then it would be fine. When the laser arrived it had NO upgraded built in water tank and NO upgraded air assist !I contacted the Technical department and was told it had already been upgraded ? The only recent upgrade they have done to this machine is to fit an air assist which is adjustable and a built in water tank so how can mine have been upgraded ?? and WHY describe all the upgrades i will be receiving and told as long as i dont remove the upgrades all will be fine warranty wise ?? I was then given constant BS and blatant lies about this that and the other by the Technical department. I called them out on this and asked for a gesture of goodwill by supplying the Lightburn software package.that you normally have to pay for., i thought my offer was very fair.! I then received even more BS and blatant lies from the Technical department and saying they totally refuse to give any form of compensation or a goodwill gesture.I am sure they sent me an old version as i forced their hand at giving me the FTB 10% discount.but why blatantly lie on emails describing the upgrades i will be getting ??? Conclusion.......a very dodgy company full of lies, BS and misrepresentation !
