50 Days to ship
I ordered a standard, non-customized katana for my son’s birthday. The Nimofan website said it would take 1 - 3 days for Order Processing, 7 - 21 days for Production, and 7 - 15 days for Shipping. Since it was a standard katana, I was hoping the Production would be closer to the 7 days instead of the 21 day estimate - it was neither. It took 50 days for the katana to ship. But what made the experience worse was Nimofan did not respond to any of my requests for status on my order after multiple emails, chats, and voicemails. I googled Nimofan before making the purchase to see if Nimofan was a legit company and it said it was, but Nimofan ghosted me. I had to get my financial institution involved, and it wasn’t until then that they finally responded to my email. But even then, it took them 3 emails and several days in between for them to say that they’re looking into it. I finally gave them one last chance to ship the katana by tomorrow or I will seek financial retribution, and then the katana shipped the next day. In terms of the quality of the katana, I can’t speak to that because I still haven’t received it yet. Fingers crossed. Nimofan has some really cool designs, one that I wanted to buy for myself, so I’m hoping the quality will make up for the ghosting and 50 day wait when it should’ve taken 24 days (worst case) to ship.
Response from NIMOFAN Katana· Aug 28, 2026
Hi Rod, you have every right to be frustrated. Fifty days was far too long for a standard sword to leave our workshop, and the lack of replies made a real order look suspicious. We’re genuinely sorry—we turned a birthday gift into a test of patience. We checked order #5623 directly. SF Express physically collected the parcel on August 25, and it is now in transit. The latest carrier scan, at 11:33 a.m. on August 27, shows it loaded at Ezhou Port Customs Station and moving to the next facility. This is not just a shipping label or a promise: the carrier has collected and moved the parcel through multiple transit points. We cannot honestly say it has arrived yet or promise an exact delivery date, but it has shipped and is moving. Thank you for giving us one last chance. We hope the katana earns back some of the trust our communication lost, and we sincerely apologize for both the delay and the silence.
