I came close to giving this 5 stars but there are a couple of things that could improve the Backbone. First of all, I love this thing. A friend of mine bought one a couple of months ago and I never even knew they existed. With the power of remote play on the PS5 and Series X it looked like a convenient well-made controller so I ordered one. The Pros: Really comfortable to hold, the analogue sticks are responsive, the buttons feel like a first party controller, the software is also a great touch, bringing everything together in one place. An xCloud shortcut would be useful too, as it isn't an app and a webpage, I understand this might cause problems. The Cons: Putting the phone into the case and taking it out makes me feel like I'm going to snap the lightning connector that sticks out, this is more when I am taking out. Also you cannot use it with a cover on as the lightning connector won't sit far enough into the phone which means I have to keep taking the phone out of the case and put it back in when finished or keep it out of the case if I think I'm going to be dipping in and out. All round though, a fantastic bit of kit, really impressed.

Something isn’t right with this. My review on the App Store was deleted after I complained about the process to get one of the controllers. So I signed up, and waited. Received to emails to claim my place, only to not have a place. I reviewed the app as I don’t think the queue system works fairly or well. And that they should just let people buy the product. The review was removed! Something isn’t right with this company.
