Quontic made it fairly easy to open a new CD account. It went quickly, including all the regulatory jumping through hoops. (This applies to any financial institution, and is for our protection.) My only complaint was a slight difficulty reading through all the disclosures, and verifying my rate before funding (couldn't find that, trusted it was as advertised, and it was - whew). Not sure if it was my browser, or the website that made it difficult to read, but the rate should be somewhere easy to find before I agree and fund. just a suggestion.

Email settings difficult to modify
I'm confused by your email system. There's no way to customize what emails you send me. A slightly more transparent emailing system would be very nice. Thanks!

We apologize for this inconvenience. We need to know what our customers want as we strive to provide better products and services. Currently monthly statements for CDs are not available however, you can view your CD balance anytime by logging into your online banking account.

No other bank has made registering a CD…
No other bank has made registering a CD as difficult and bureaucratic as Quontic. To get my wife on as a joint owner I have to send a scan of her driver's license itself, for example. I wish the original registration had included joint owners and beneficiaries, all at once.

If you wish to add a joint party or beneficiary after the account is established simply sign into your online banking and go to our Self Service tab.
