Scuba Guru - Diving Certification and ClassesReviews of scubaguru.org

Scuba Guru helped me get certified in SDI. Training was great, instructors were great, would recommend to anyone trying to get certified in diving.

The Scuba Guru team was awesome throughout the entire course, from the pool to the open water dives! Very informative, and it was an absolute blast. I feel very prepared for whatever dive adventure is next.

Amazing Experience. I loved working with Mike and his team. They noticed certain things that I wasn't even aware I was doing and corrected me to provide a more enjoyable scuba experience. I am not the most experienced scuba diver and dive annually, so when Mike preposed an opportunity to get my advanced certification I took him up on it. Since I was diving deeper now and my group was mostly comprised of men that weighted more and were just bigger in nature- I would empty out my BCD all the way just like they did. It was only when the Scuba Guru team took into account that my proportions were not aligned with the general rule of "emptying out" your BCD when going down in the water. They advised me to let go of the air little by little to find my sweet spot and that I didn't need to let go of all of my air as it would compress due to the pressure of the water. Not only did they correct my technique, but they provided solid advise to avoid pressure in my ear when going down when the standard methods weren't as effective. Over all, Mike and his team provided a fantastic learning experience with proper supervision and an environment that focused on safety for a hobby that I am very proud to brag about. Not everyone can scuba dive, but Mike definitely takes away some of the nerves that some new drivers may have with the confidence he instills in you.

Great learning from the scuba guru team. The team provided constructive criticism and thorough instruction. Finished the training feeling more confident.

Mike and Rob worked as an excellent team and provided instruction that left me feeling confident in my abilities as a diver and excited to explore this skillset further

Great experience learning from Mike and the rest of his team of professionals. They offer a wide range of beginner and advanced PADI and SDI certifications. Raritan Valley CC Pool and Lake Hydra are two of the best training facilities in the Northeast. Closed-water and Open-water diving facilities with private bathroom facilities (and hot showers!) are unbeatable. Mike has 25+ years of teaching experience and his classes always have an excellent student:teacher ratio. I always feel safe diving with the Scuba Guru team — they are quick to lend a hand, let me try out their own equipment, or share their own experiences. In the past two years, I’ve travelled with Mike’s Scuba Guru Crew to Bali and the Philippines, and we’re going to Micronesia in February. Whether you’re coming for soup-to-nuts training or a quick refresher, I hope to see you out there!

Mike and the Scuba Guru team have guided me through Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses, and have really improved my skills and comfort in the water. I felt extremely safe at all times during the courses, and was taught the skills to be safe out in the open ocean. I highly taking your courses with Scuba Guru.

Thanks to the Scuba Guru Team, shout out to Mike, Rob and Sam for their expertise, patience and guidance! Great experience for my first dives!
