SelfDecode has been extremely valuable to me as the family history that I received from my biological family had inaccuracies, and omissions. I recommend SelfDecode to any person looking for a family health history. Over and over again, I see many individuals who are attempting difficult searches, and sometimes rejection, just to get information that is so much less than SelfDecode provides. A personal, in-depth health history is more apropos than a historical family history, for a patient’s current medical needs. Many people I encounter already have a DNA profile that they are using to search for family with. It is easy to upload that information here. While I have 19 years of experience using medical terminology, you don’t need to know any to use this site. The descriptions are very specific and user friendly. I appreciate the reports that I have recently been able to regenerate. Updated information is so necessary when addressing health matters.

Self- decode was one of the very first companies that was available for a do it yourself genetic search through your SNPs. From the very first I was impressed. Over the years through extraordinary hard work and obvious dedication to his cause, Joe has made a phenomenal contribution to the well being and health of so many. It’s well worth every penny one might spend at self decode. Functional Drs. are by far, more costly and nowhere near as convenient. In fact, because I had self decode early on I was able to teach my grandson’s Functional Dr. a thing or two! I plan on sticking with this company as long as they are around. I really haven’t found anything comparable. I also appreciated the emails with the updates on each new program available. All pretty cool if you ask me. This company gave me fascinating info on things I realized but didn’t understand to be genetic. For instance why am I “short” at 5’8” (female) while my aunts on both sides are 6’0 & the men on both sides are 6’2-6’4? Because I have a genotype that reduces height. Why am I so-so at sports? Because I have quite low endurance. Besides the fun stuff, it’s helpful to see that I tend towards low dopamine, & one recommended supplement actually helps me sleep better. Have used SD for a good while mostly just basic free subscription and other. Simply based on that I just joined up Lifetime and gonna run genes even tho Joe ran my DNA a long time ago when I uploaded my 23nMe data. I can’t wait to start engagement with full plan!
