Before I went and ordered my new singer heavy duty sewing machine I read a lot of reviews. Some were good and some were bad so the only thing to do was to find out for myself. First of all what really irritates me is the stupid cover that comes with the machine to protect it from dust and and scratches. I miss the hard case that all sewing machines have used since year zero! The machine itself functions "O.K" but is very plastic'y and has a definite "made in Taiwan" feel about it. The bottom line here is that singer just isn't the singer that we new, loved and grew up with anymore. The peddle is even more plastic and cheaper than the rest of the machine and doesn't press smoothly in but is more like stiff brake lever from a bicycle which has a frayed cable. The Singer Heavy Duty doesn't deserve the its name or branding that is given.

Singer Dampfsauger Paul Das Gerät hält nicht mal einen Bruchteil von dem was versprochen wird. Von Fensterrscheiben geht Fliegendreck auch leichterer nicht weg. Bei Terassentüren muss man den unteren Teil querer saugen, man sieht nachher jeden Strich wo die Gummilippe an- oder abgesetzt wurde. Kalkentfernung an Armaturen funktioniert auch nicht. Schafft gerrade was ein einfacher Bodenwischer auch schafft und ist sein Geld bei weitem nicht wert.

La marque Singer perd en sa réputation, le service après vente n'aidant pas. J'appelle le service après vente pour une pièce commandée qui n'était pas la bonne. La personne au téléphone reconnaît son erreurs. Qu'elle me renverra peut être la bonne pièce à condition de ne plus appeler la maison mère à l'avenir et me débrouiller avec les magasins.( qui ne font pas de pièce détachée) Ne comprenant pas ce qu'il venait de se passer , je lui demande si j'ai élevé la voix ou autre problème de ma part, elle me répond que non mais de ne plus jamais appeler ce service ( pièce détaché à Nanterre), j'en suis sortie choquée par cet échange.
