Two bad boxes of gourmet hay! The replacement was just as bad as the first. I asked for a return shipping label to return both boxes and was told no. I will not shop SPS again! Chewy and Amazon have this place beat by a long shot! To SPS reply:The reply is simply a justification. The bottom line is that I received 2 bad boxes of gourmet hay. I have never received 1 bad box in 2 years of buying this hay. I don’t know why it was bad , but it was bad. At $37 a box for 2lbs of hay it should be to my satisfaction ( or to the rabbit that is eating it) - period. You could have returned is and allowed me to get another box from Chewy or Amazon, maybe they had a better batch. But you told me NO to return YOUR hay! I will NEVER buy your brand again! Moldy wet hay with NONE of the treats packed on top- this is the whole reason to buy this! Not one, but two! I’m shocked my the customer service regarding this whole transaction- or lack there of.

Long time customer of 2nd cutting Timothy Hay. Box received from Small Pet Select always completely stuffed with the hay. I wish two things were improved: frequent buyers accumulate points but they cannot be used in conjunction with free shipping; also, there is no acknowledgment of prairie dog owners. I realize pd’s are relatively uncommon but I’m sure there are a number of us purchasing your product.

I discovered Small Pet Select when living in Washington a few years ago, and have continued to order from them because their hay is a big winner for my rabbits. They have variety but also it's not just shards of hay covered in hay dust which you can find with many bagged items in store. Their treats are a fun way to see what my buns will enjoy, and i have loved getting the surprise Bunny Box every month when that started. I am especially grateful they have the option to get the slightly dustier, less expensive large discount box of hay - this was particularly useful when $ was tight but I still wanted to feed my buns a quality hay. I've been recommending it to other bunny and guinea pig owners for years, as well as my clients (as I'm also a veterinarian).
