Warning to those thinking of buying from TECNOTU.
At the end of Dec 2024 I ordered a 1.5 soft-shell hyperbaric chamber from Tecnotu through ebay. On receipt of the chamber in late Jan I found the plug was broken and upon getting this fixed - nothing worked anyway. I told the company I wanted to return. They assured me the chamber must have a leak and that if they sent me a new chamber everything would be okay. Because of businesses and factories being closed for Chinese New Year I had to wait 7 weeks to receive the new chamber. By this time my refund guarantee with ebay (30 days) had elapsed. The new chamber didnt work. I then waited for 3 more weeks for new pressure relief valves (as Tecnotu were now saying this must be the issue). When they arrived it still didnt work. It is now May 2025 and in total I have spent £3500 on this product and it has NEVER WORKED. I have repeatedly asked for a refund and Tecnotu knows it has NEVER ONCE WORKED, as I have recorded everything with someone called Cindy (absolutely clueless about chambers) on WhatsApp for the past 5 months. They will not issue one and have now stopped responding to me. I've also had an expert in my country (the U.K) inform me that the product should not have crossed the border into this country as it has not been adequately safety-tested and has no data or stamp on it that confirms any of this testing. I have made a complaint to both ebay and my bank and my bank is currently investigating this company. I'm also planning to report this company to the Office for Product Safety and Standards in the UK, who, once they are aware of the compliance issues with Tecnotu's products, may well ban their sale in the UK (to be specific about one key test these chambers would need in the UK that this company does not have a certificate for - PVHO testing. These tests ensure the safety and reliability of the structure under the immense pressure in undergoes upon inflation. Without these guarantees a person can experience serious injury or death if a chamber filled with oxygen - which is highly reactive - bursts). I am currently in conversation with the UK International Consumer Centre and I have also written to the trade division of the Chinese Embassy to make a complaint about this company. I bought this chamber because I have a long-standing health issue (which I made clear to the company) and because it looked like a good deal cost-wise to do so, but if you are considering doing the same thing - perhaps because you are also treating a health issue and maybe are on a budget - my advice is this: DONT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. Their products are cheaper than those sold in the West for a very good reason - THEY DONT WORK. And once they have your money they will - as they did with me - BREACH THE TERMS OF THEIR OWN CONTRACT (mine states that if you can get a third-party out to examine the chamber and they can confirm it doesnt work - they will refund. Well I did that and they still didnt refund). If you live in the West - DONT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY HAVE STOLEN £3500 FROM ME. Save up the necessary amount of money - even if its 3 times more (it will be in the West) to buy a chamber in the West that has been adequately safety-tested, that works and is guaranteed if it breaks down. If you buy from Tecnotu you will not be refunded if your chamber doesnt work. And to be clear regarding ebay - they have removed this company from their website now, they are no longer allowed to trade on there. DONT USE THEM.
Response from Tecnotu Hyperbaric Chamber· May 12, 2025
To whom it may concern, We would like to present our side of the story in response to a recent complaint that we believe lacks full context and does not fairly reflect our efforts. The customer initially purchased a 1.5 ATA soft lying hyperbaric oxygen chamber from our platform. Upon receiving the unit, they reported a leak at the zipper. While our chambers are always tested before shipment, and our manufacturing process is mature and trusted globally, we chose to prioritize the customer’s concerns. To assist immediately, we paid the customer $200 USD toward local repair costs and did not ask for the original unit to be returned. In addition, we sent a brand-new upgraded chamber — a sitting and lying model — completely free of charge. We also sold an external support frame at cost price, purely to help the customer. We recorded and shared multiple pressure test videos, clearly proving the chambers functioned properly before shipment. Later, the customer claimed the replacement chamber also failed to build pressure, and blamed the pressure relief valve. Again, we responded quickly by shipping two new pressure relief valves (1.3 ATA and 1.5 ATA) at no cost. These were also personally tested in our factory, with the customer’s name labeled for verification. Videos of these tests were also provided. In total, we: 1.Paid $200 in repair compensation; 2.Sent a brand-new upgraded chamber; 3.Allowed the customer to keep the original unit; 4.Sold accessories at cost; 5.Shipped new spare parts for free; 6.Shared clear video proof of functional units; Despite all this, the customer continued to demand a full refund. We find this unreasonable, especially as we have gone above and beyond to resolve the issue. We firmly believe this is not a product failure, but a situation where our goodwill has been repeatedly taken advantage of. All records, including videos and communication logs, have been documented and will be provided to relevant authorities if needed. We are a responsible manufacturer and always aim to support our customers sincerely and professionally. However, we cannot allow false accusations and personal attacks to harm our reputation and the trust we have built globally. Thank you for understanding.
