Fails to Honor Lifetime Guarantee!
I purchased my "lifetime guarantee" ThinOptics glasses in 2016 that advertised they would send me "free replacement glasses forever" and even registered for the "lifetime guarantee". Today I was told that they will not honor this guarantee because their product was apparently defective (which, of course, is why a "lifetime guarantee" is offered and relied upon by purchasers of a new product) and they have since made the bridge and nose pads stronger so somehow that magically turns it into a different product that is not subject to the lifetime guarantee. That is obviously wrong and seems to me to be fraud. I would like to speak with a supervisor or someone about this and about honoring their "lifetime forever replacements" guarantee before joining any class action suits. I also see online in this thread that they have offered some a "grandfather program for replacements" that I should be included in. A simple google search will show everyone the ads that they used that promised "we will send you free replacement glasses FOREVER." While I had been generally pleased with the glasses (which I haven't used very often over the past year while stuck at home for the most part), this failure to honor its obligations has obviously overshadowed all of that.

Hello, Brian. Thank you for writing us a review. We have read your complaint and received your requests in our system as well. Please understand that the warranty applies to products that are purchased directly from us or from an approved dealer and do not cover replacement glasses. Upon coordinating with our support group, We are happy to place you on our Grandfather program for replacements. I can understand your situation and am happy to enroll you in this program. I have seen your email as well and have taken the liberty of replying to it. - Miguel, ThinOptics Social
