I bought a pair of Thinoptics in October 2018 and, unfortunately, today I managed to break them (my own stupidity, not a fault of the product). I accessed their website and chatted to a chap called Ian who was extremely helpful and very efficient. He helped me with everything I needed and, within a very short space of time, Ian had done everything for me and a free replacement product is on its way to me. This service is absolutely amazing and something I would never have expected, I can't recommend this product, this company, and their employees (especially Ian).

Simply great service
These folks have kept their promises, I get a replacement every time I need, no questions asked. Their product had a design flaw that made earlier version break the nose bridge, they fixed it. Their customer service calls you, helps you and gets things done, I ended up buying product because they deserve support. It's a great example of quality service, thanks.

I loved this flat and feather light…
I loved this flat and feather light reading glasses, as it is so handy to keep it in the pocket. One flaw was the nose supporting bridge that broke easily. Thin Optics provides life time warranty and replaced one lately and the new one has a improved nose support that wouldn't break.
They have reading glasses so far with 2.5 highest strength, I hope they can make it also higher as 2.75 and further up to 3.0 reading strength.

I keep my ThinOptics stuck to my phone…
I keep my ThinOptics stuck to my phone with outdoor picture hanging tape by 3M. Whipping out my glasses is even easier than whipping out my phone, and a lot more rewarding too. Freedom! No more asking people to read to me. No more fumbling around. I recommend a bit stronger than my usual prescription, because they come in handy when you really need to see: menus; instructions; labels; recipes, and yes: your phone!
And Kudos to ThinOptics customer service. They really stand behind their product, and so do I.

BEWARE - Not a free lifetime replacement warranty - Extremely POOR customer service
I bought several pairs and have endorsed and recommended this product hundreds of times. I've really backed this company because I like the convenience of the product. However, there were red flags from the beginning. Just trying to register the products was a nightmare, 3 voice mails un-responded to over a month period in September of last year, several emails and their broken website that would not allow registration. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and moved on. Recently the nose piece broke. No problem, I have a lifetime warranty, right? Well, if you don’t mind paying ridiculous "processing fees" and enduring more poor customer service, sure,…..read on....
The flimsy, easily broken nose piece is a known problem at the thinoptics company. To correct it, they’ve supposedly made them more durable. I sent an email to customer service to get mine replaced. I received no response for over a week. Sound familiar, yes, same as last time. So, once again having to track them down, I went to their website and chatted with a Customer Service Rep. He (Ian) told me to go to a link, fill out a form and pay a "processing fee". What? I bought your product with a "lifetime free replacement guarantee" for $10 per pair at a well-known American consumer electronics retailer, I registered them (painfully) and now when they break for *a known reason*, you require me to pay a "processing fee" that is 50% of the purchase price? That is ridiculous. Unethical. Immoral. Unprofessional. Ian said "the fee covers the cost that we incur to process, prepare the order for shipment, shipping materials, tracking service, and the postage." Those fees are not my problem, they are the company's responsibility when their product fails **for a known reason**, not a result of neglect or abuse. Why should I have to pay your administrative costs when your product fails?
When Ian refused to help (repeatedly), I asked for the name and contact information for the person in charge of Customer Care at thinoptics. I saved the chat because his responses were so unhelpful and inappropriate. In typical poor customer service style he repeat numerous times "information is in our policy", "you just need to cover the shipping/processing fee", "what you are asking is not possible", "we won't change our warranty policy" (said this one twice). And when I said I was simply asking for who I can talk to about this, he refused and said "I think I provided you all the information you need."
I definitely would not buy products from this company and would not endorse this company due to their exceptionally poor customer service, lack of willingness to allow customers to contact someone if there is a problem beyond the basic, and due to their unethical policy of charging arbitrary "processing fees" for “free lifetime replacements” when their products break. I’ll leave you with this thought, is it really a *free lifetime replacement warranty* when they charge you to replace it,…..and when they decide to increase their arbitrary "replacement processing fee" to $10, $15 or $20, the same or more than the original product cost, is it really a free replacement warranty?
