Just like anything in life, the more you put into something the more you'll get out of it. I was hesitant to begin this program because I have been pulling for 5 years and thought my behavior was incurable. Although my pulling hasnt completely stopped, it has stopped at least 90% and I have learned alot more about myself along the way. This program is great for anyone who is ready to make a positive impact in their own lives. The knowledge I've learning in 8 weeks is something I'll carry with me for a lifetime. Thank you to my amazing therapist Lindsay!

I've been struggling with pulling my lashes...
I have been struggling with Trichotillomania for more than 5 years, it started when I was around 12 years old. All these years, I tried to deal with it on my own. I tried to cover up the bald spots on my lashes and eyebrows, but I never attacked the problem at its source. I suddenly stopped pulling on my eyebrows after 2 years, but I could never stop pulling on my eyelashes. A few months ago, my partner and I came across Trichstop and I decided to give it a try. I was not sure about it at first because I did not like the idea that I would be doing therapy, but I ended up viewing it differently. It is a way to help myself, there is nothing wrong with it. When I started the sessions, I was super motivated and positive. I was very determined to finally stop pulling. Each of the sessions was super beneficial and made me learn so much about myself and my experience with Trichotillomania. It was amazing to always have someone who's qualified to talk to and explain what you are going through without any judgment (in my case, it was Michaela). Today, I finished the main program and I have not pulled in more than 3 months! I am super happy. At the moment, I could not always see how each session was beneficial, but week after week I started noticing that I was internalizing some of the practices that I learned about. This is when I started seeing progress. The program is truly amazing and I advise anyone to do it if they are going through something similar. I am very grateful for Trichstop. Their program is well structured and they are dedicated to helping their clients.

Been struggling with trich since I was a teen
I've been struggling with trich since I was a teen (I'm now in my 30s) and it never crossed my mind to tackle this issue head on; I just kind of accepted it, or perhaps I was afraid of failing. Finally, this year I had the courage to face my fears and embarked on this 8 week specialized program with TrichStop. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but my therapist, Lindsay, was incredibly supportive, empathetic, and understanding. She guided me throughout the process and provided invaluable insight. Not only did I learn a lot about myself, but I also stopping being ashamed of my "bad habits" and became more comfortable talking about trich openly with people. I also realized how complex compulsive hair pulling really is, so it's great that TrichStop provides a comprehensive approach, combining cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness and even a bit of philosophy! Since completing this program, my pulling has decreased dramatically. I feel more in control of my urges and I'm just happier all around. I'm glad I decided to sign up for TrichStop, and would recommend this program to others who are in a similar situation.

I loved my TrichStop experience
I loved my TrichStop experience. My therapist, Michaela, was so kind and helpful. I loved having someone help me organize my goals, my value system, and my habits! I had a chance to talk about things I’ve never talked about with anyone and I got helpful, non-judgmental advice to redirect my attention towards the things that truly matter to me. And while I was refocusing my attention on my true goals, my eyelashes and eyebrows grew back on their own!! I’ve lived with this problem for 35 years!! And I finally feel free of it. It took me four months, but I needed that extra time to work through my feelings with Michaela’s kind coaching. I feel like I have a better understanding of who I am and how I fit into the world. I also have tools for the future that make me feel prepared. This was a very helpful experience for me and I highly recommend this program.

I have been pleasantly surprised
I have been pleasantly surprised by the Trichstop program, primarily because I got out of it so much more
than I was expecting. I came in looking for an evidence-based program for trich, and I definitely got that. While my puling hasn't altogether stopped, it's definitely at a lower frequency (on average, 5 and under hairs per day, with some days none) and the associated distress is pretty much gone. Thankfully I didn't come in
with any functional impairment (i.e., not being able to leave the house, avoiding social situations, etc) and
that hasn't changed. What I hadn't anticipated was that so much work would be around past events and
connecting those to my current emotions, thoughts, urges, and pulling behavior. It has led to me having
much needed conversations, expressing my thoughts and feelings known, and increasing my ability to meet
my needs. It's led to more crying than I've done in the past several years, and to coming into contact with
sadness, pain, hurt, and unfortunate but overdue realizations about my experience as a child (and beyond) with those who were supposed to care for and nurture me. This has also led to me feeling more connected to those around me (friends, partner) who have been supportive and have provided a safe space for me to grow emotionally.

I have been pulling my hair since I was 9 years old.
I have been pulling my hair since I was 9 years old, I am now 35. I honestly didn't think I would ever be able to stop. I found Trichstop online, and was a little bit skeptical at first. I found the program to help me with my trich so much, from the beginning, and by the end of my 8 week program, I have nearly completely stopped pulling my hair ( few accidentally hairs within past 3 weeks ).
I feel confident and positive about continuing my work overcoming trich, and for the first time even, I actually believe it to be possible.
Lindsay, my therapist, was such a supportive and encouraging person to work with.

Break Bad Habits
In starting this program back in June, I felt skeptical to be honest. I was proven wrong. The 8 week program took longer for me, as I needed it. It wasn't easy at the beginning but became easier and easier. As the weeks passed, with new techniques implemented - mindfulness in full swing - the habit was slowly stopping. I have learnt so much thanks to Vladimir, who guided me through this journey without judging. His kindness and professionalism helped me overcome it.
I would recommend this program to everyone, who is thinking of joining. I have suffered for 38 years, but am mostly free from the habit now.
What else is there to say, but to join the program it will benefit you, greatly.
Thank you to all at TrichStop, but expecially Vladimir. :)

The help that I needed
I struggled a lot in the past, thinking that I don't need help and I don't have anyone who can understand me and help me with hair pulling. It was one of my best decisions to sign up for this program. The program itself and my therapist helped me to know myself better in so many different ways. I not only find out how to understand and manage my hair pulling episodes, but I also got a lot of support, appreciation and kind words. I can't recommend it even more! I think everybody who is struggling needs help and guidance. With this program it's possible to overcome the difficulties.
