When I have asked it to say this is a teletherapy appointment where client has verifed their location for their session today and made no changes to the teletherapy emergency plan it has not said that in my note causing me to rewrite it in the note again. This time it did it as I asked ! Yay!

AI transcript is mostly accurate, and very detailed as to psychological assessment and notes.

Using Upheal has been a game changer! It has saved my sanity and protected my energy levels from burning out. Upheal takes great notes that are neutral and detailed; it's easy to adjust notes as well to make them to your taste and style. My clients love the summaries that I send them after sessions. It has everything that I need and they keep working on making the options better. I have reached out for help and/or guidance and the support has been quickly available. I have only good things to say and highly recommend! BTW I have been using Upheal for over a year and I had tried other options. All other options paled in comparison to what Upheal has offered.

They started out as a note generating app. However, now they are a full EHR. The feature I enjoy the most is the Assistant. It can help me summarize the treatment, look for themes that have repeated, remind me where to start for the next session and even create letters for the clients. The Assistant helps me access information that my memory doesnt. That makes me a better therapist.

First and foremost, Upheal is intuitive, packed with features, and continually expanding its capabilities through an active and responsive development team. If you’re looking for an EHR and practice management platform that incorporates relational AI in a way that meaningfully reduces administrative burden and allows you to focus more on what you do best—being a therapist—Upheal is leading the way. Upheal also earns an A+ for its support team. The AI assistant is surprisingly capable and often gets you headed in the right direction quickly, but when it doesn’t, knowledgeable support staff are available to step in and help work through the issue. I also appreciated the 14-day trial. It was more than enough time to give the platform a thorough test drive, explore its features, and determine whether it would work for my practice before committing. As a long-time user of another established EHR, I was looking for more than simply a place to schedule clients and store documentation. I wanted a platform that felt like it was actively evolving with the possibilities of AI rather than simply adding AI as an afterthought. Upheal has impressed me in that regard.

Edited to add: The BEST thing about Upheal is how LIGHTNING FAST the support team is at responding to feedback, to improve the program. I left my previous EHR (TherapyZen) because the program had not had a single update in 5 years and the tech support was ABYSMAL. I am actually thoroughly impressed with the speed at which Upheal's support team responds to problems. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mostly I love this program. It is incredibly helpful and the note taking features is absolutely stellar. But the assistant is NOT READY TO BE MADE A PAID FEATURE. It gives me major errors throughout the day every day. If it was an actual human personal assistant, I would have fired them by now. The thought that they are going to start charging for this feature in October is incredibly disconcerting for me. Because while it makes major errors every day, it is still better than having to manually go through certain processes, like the daily reconciliation process -- Upheal doesn't have a built in way to make sure all notes are signed, all invoices made, all payments received, and so I rely on the Assistant to help me get this process completed without having to manually scroll back and forth through each client's chart and check for these things individually. I use the assistant to check these things for me. It makes a LOT of errors, and I have to correct it all day long, but it is better than having to manually do this process. Taking this functionality away and making me pay additional for it, when it is so abysmally inconsistent and inaccurate, is kind of insulting. I sure hope that developers will fix the bugs I run into daily, so that it will be worth the money to keep using the assistant! Or, maybe just develop the systems that are missing, like a daily and weekly reconcilaition to ensure the documentation and books are correct.

The notes are very accurate with minimal editing needed. I love the assistant and the ability to add sections to notes for better compliance and for the overall customizability of the platform.
