It has definitely cured my addiction to Instagram and not getting on my phone constantly even when I don’t have the Being Present Time scheduled but I think that $60 for a year is extremely pricey. Sure when you look at it - it’s only $5/month but the way the US is right now - I am going to spend my $60 on food. If it was paid monthly - it wouldn’t be such a hard hit. I don’t agree with apps charging for a year when you have yet to provide the service. Charging $5 at the beginning of the month is understandable.

Have contacted multiple times to cancel and customer service is nonexistent. Not sure how they’re getting good reviews. This is absolutely a scam. And I’ve been charged $127! Why is mine more costly than others who registered same time frame? Very suspicious. Have attempted to cancel and no response yet. Finally contact my cc for dispute.

This app really does what it says it will do!!! It makes me aware of how often I’m on social media and decreases my time on there!!

Free 7 day trial, easy to setup upon installation, and instantly became easier to get off my phone. Works much much better than Apple’s built in downtime and screentime functions.

It’s been a game changer. As a new mum I was adamant that I didn’t want to be on my phone around my little one - but it’s harder said than done (that oh I’ll have a quick look - quickly turns into doomscrolling). On day when I couldn’t access my social apps in the evening from the time I set - it forced me to actually do what I wanted to do with no distractions and I went to be at a normal time… hello getting more sleep. I’m only a few days in and I’m already seeing such a massive difference and love the person I’m becoming.

I like that you are able to choose which apps you know you need to take a break from. You can also set a daily goal. For example: I chose a daily limit of 8 times for 15 minutes each time. Out of habit, it was helpful to know how many times I’d already logged in (2/8 or 5/8). This app truly made me more mindful of intentional use versus doom scrolling for no reason. One of my restricted apps is Facebook, and I use Facebook marketplace a bit to sell my daughter’s old clothes and toys. There were moments it was a bit frustrating when I wanted to refer back to a listing but didn’t want to “waste” a session.
