We reviewed your consultation and found that there was no request or additional note indicating that you wanted an antibiotic prescribed. Your submitted information focused on your symptoms and your request for Flonase, which was suggested as part of your treatment. Since antibiotics require a medical provider’s assessment to determine whether they are appropriate, the provider did not prescribe one based on the information provided. We understand, however, that you may have expected an antibiotic recommendation and apologize if this was not clear during your consultation. We understand your concern, especially since you previously experienced nausea and headaches with doxycycline and have requested an alternative antibiotic. Please know that we have already sent a follow-up to our medical provider to review your request and determine the most appropriate alternative treatment. We are actively monitoring your case and will update you as soon as we receive a response. If your pharmacy is already closed by the time the new prescription is approved, we can send the prescription to another pharmacy that is still open.
