The quality of the people on Care.com is horrible at best and I’m not even certain if all the people on there are actually local to the area. I’ve been getting a lot of I’m on vacation and no shows this year. There has to be a better alternative. If you are disabled and really need assistance this site can be a major pain (figuratively and literally). I use to be able to count on this site. People are charging astronomical prices to do lazy work. I had to let the last person go and the last 3 people were no shows. Prior to COVID, I was able to get excellent help from this site. Now, it is 100% a waste.

My latest endeavor was last night with an amazing toddler. From the start of applying to the experience was wonderful. It was very easy to communicate with the family via App and then once we exchanged our information. I look forward to meeting future clients with whom eventually will be considered friends and even family!

This is an awesome tool and I have met some great families through the platform. However, I do hope something can be implemented requiring those who post jobs to either close their ad or respond to applicants after a certain amount of time. Many postings receive applications but never receive a response from the families, or the response comes 60 days later. That can feel very unprofessional and discouraging for those who are actively seeking opportunities.

I found a part-time job through Care.com and had a good experience with the platform. It helped connect me with families looking for help, and the process was simple and convenient. I was able to find a few hours of work that fit my schedule. Overall, it’s a helpful website for people looking for caregiving or household jobs.
