engagement rings that break after 4 weeks
I received the Swan Lake engagement ring from Catbird which my fiancé spent $3k on only to have multiple prongs bend, break off, and catch on all fabrics of clothes within 4 weeks of daily wear. Upon reaching out to them, they were told there’s nothing they could do except repair the broken prong (the ring is only under a repair warranty and only temporarily) while admitting in writing to us that the ring is not meant for daily use. This goes directly against the info their employee told us when he said ring was sturdy and would hold up for a lifetime as we were considering buying it, which is the reason we bought it. We’ve reached out to their store multiple times and spoken to a manager and they say there’s nothing they can do and won’t provide contact info for their customer service department (because one doesn’t exist). You should accept returns for full refunds for a $3k engagement ring that has serious design/manufacturing flaws. We are now working with an independent jeweler to see what our options are, which will cost us more money. Save your money these people advertise themselves falsely and have the same level of customer service as Verizon.
