We visited the Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Chesapeake, VA off of Portsmouth Blvd. for lunch. The hostess was friendly and was prompt in seating us. The server "Makyla" was right there to take our order. She was friendly, courteous and answered all questioned we had regarding the menu. Our food arrived shortly except the corn muffins. They were baking a fresh batch. Everything was as ordered and we were satisfied with the overall experience.

I used the app to order a slice of cocoa cola cake from the Fairlawn, Ohio store, but when I got home I discovered that I had been given carrot cake. I called the store and spoke to a manager, Angela. She apologized for the mistake and asked what I wanted to do. I explained that I wanted the cocoa cake and would drive back to get it. She told me that she was going to give me an extra piece of cake for the inconvenience of having to make a second trip to the store. I thanked her for providing great customer service and I picked up 2 slices of cake. Thanks again Angela.

I love Cracker Barrel, I eat there often, today I went there for my birthday dinner. I got the worst meal I have ever received from them. I ordered the vegetable plate consisting of 4 sides. I ordered hash brown casserole, good but served almost cold, dumplings, when i tried to remove them from the bowl they came out in one congealed lump. macaroni and cheese, luke warm, hard and old. and finally the green beans, i can't say anything about them because i never got them. the waitress said she would bring them to me when they were ready. with my meal finished and the waitress talking to friends at the next table for over 5 minutes! I finally flagged down the manager. The one bright spot of my visit was a caring, understanding manager who took care of the bill. I hope my next visit will be much improved.

The food quality and quantity have gone down but prices have gone up. I ordered the pot roast with 2 sides. There were 3 small pieces of meat in the dish with mashed potatoes. I pointed this out to the server and she said it’s 3 ounces haha. I’ve ordered this many times in the past and had to ask for a box because there was so much meat. I won’t be going back. Too bad because it use to be a good restaurant.

★☆☆☆☆ Spring Hill - Sunday, August 30th around 1:32pm, party of 7 right after church We come here all the time with our family and this was the worst experience we've had. 4 of us ordered meatloaf - all 4 came out mushy and cold in the middle, not cooked through. My son's burger took an extra 25 minutes because the server said she forgot to punch it in. I told the manager my meatloaf was cold, she offered me something else. I said I'd try the chicken breast and she brought me two pieces. My brother told her his meatloaf was STILL cold after they just microwaved the same piece and sent it back out on a steaming hot plate. Instead of asking him what he wanted, she just told him he could have one of my chicken breasts. He didn't want chicken - he wanted meatloaf cooked properly. She never even asked him. They took the meatloaf off the bill but the way it was handled and the lack of hospitality from both the server and manager was terrible. We left hungry. I have the receipt from today to show it.
