Horrible, awful, ugly, and extremely disappointing. I paid over $300 and sent numerous pictures for their “artists” to create my cuddle clone. The face is totally different than my dog’s face. Eyes are crooked, eyes are too small, nose is way too long “forehead” is way too short, markings are wrong, etc. I’ve contacted them numerous times. . .no response. I want it fixed or my money back!!

Took One of the Most Painful Moments of My Life and Made It Worse
Cuddle Clones Took One of the Most Painful Moments of My Life and Made It Worse
I ordered from Cuddle Clones while grieving the loss of my beloved dog. I was not buying a novelty item. I was trusting this company with something deeply emotional: a memorial of a pet I loved like family.
What I got instead was delays, terrible communication, a preview that looked nothing like my dog, and an approval process that felt manipulative and completely unacceptable.
The first preview took weeks to arrive. When I finally saw it, I was devastated. It did not look like my dog. Not even close. When you are grieving, seeing a bad version of the pet you lost is not just “disappointing.” It is gutting.
I submitted revised photos and expected to see an updated preview before anything went into production. That is the entire point of a revision. Instead, almost three months later, I received an email saying they would consider my revised pictures approved if they did not hear from me — but they never sent me revised preview pictures to approve.
Then, before I had approved any revised version, I received another email saying the order was already in production.
That is not a legitimate approval process. That is pushing an order through and hoping the customer is too exhausted, too grieving, or too worn down to fight it.
In my opinion, this company should be ashamed of how it handles grieving pet owners. They market directly to people who are heartbroken, take payment upfront, drag out communication, provide previews that may look nothing like the pet, and then move forward without clear approval.
I wish I had researched them more carefully before ordering. Their BBB rating and complaints are a major red flag, and based on my experience, I understand why.
This was not just bad customer service. This felt like a company profiting from grief while failing to deliver the care, accuracy, and transparency they advertise.
Buyer beware. If you are grieving the loss of a pet, protect yourself. Do not trust Cuddle Clones with your money, your memories, or your heart.

First, I want to sincerely apologize for the experience you've had. I understand that this order was much more than a product purchase—it was a memorial for a beloved pet, and I'm truly sorry that the process did not feel as smooth or reassuring as you expected.
After reviewing your case, I believe there has been a misunderstanding regarding the preview and approval process. When you received the initial sneak preview and provided feedback, our team took your concerns very seriously. Because there were significant changes requested, rather than making minor adjustments, our artists decided to remake the clone from scratch in an effort to achieve a much better likeness to your pet.
The purpose of our sneak preview program is to ensure our customers are heard, and when feedback indicates that a clone needs substantial improvements, we have no issue remaking it entirely. Unfortunately, this does extend the production timeline, which is what occurred in your case.
I also want to clarify that your order was not approved without your consent. The clone was being remade based on your feedback and was not finalized under the original preview approval. However, as requested, your order has now been canceled. I have reviewed your account and can confirm that a full refund has been issued.
We sincerely regret that this experience did not meet your expectations. While we understand that doesn't undo the frustration you experienced, I do want you to know that we take customer feedback very seriously and work hard to ensure each clone matches the pet as closely as possible. When a customer is unhappy with a preview, we are always willing to continue working on it, including remaking the clone entirely when necessary.
Again, I am very sorry for the disappointment and frustration this process caused.

Before You Order a Cuddle Clone for a Deceased Pet, Please Read Our Experience
We ordered a Cuddle Clone after losing our beloved pet, hoping it would bring us some comfort during one of the most painful periods of our lives.
The marketing, communication and build-up created enormous expectations. We were repeatedly led to believe that we would be overwhelmed with joy when we opened the box and that many customers cry happy tears when they see their pet again.
Sadly, our experience was the complete opposite.
When the clone arrived, we were left shocked and heartbroken. Not a single defining feature of our pet had been captured accurately. The eyes, face, ears, expression, proportions and overall appearance looked nothing like the photographs we had supplied. Instead of seeing our beloved companion, we were looking at something we barely recognised.
Perhaps the biggest disappointment was the quality and feel of the product itself. Despite the name "Cuddle Clone", the clone we received was extremely hard and rigid rather than soft, comforting or cuddly. Had we known this beforehand, it would have significantly influenced our purchasing decision.
As grieving pet owners, we poured our hearts into this process, shared countless photographs and trusted the promises being made. The result left us feeling even more upset than before. Not only had we paid a substantial amount for the clone itself, but we were also required to pay customs charges on top.
This was not simply a disappointing purchase. It was an emotional experience that left us feeling let down at a time when we were at our most vulnerable.
We appreciate that every custom product is subjective, but in our case the clone bore so little resemblance to our pet that it was genuinely distressing to open the package.
We would strongly encourage anyone considering this service to carefully manage their expectations and to understand that the final product may look very different from the photographs provided.

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your Cuddle Clone did not bring the comfort you were hoping for during such a painful time.
We understand how emotional and meaningful these orders are, especially when they are created in memory of a beloved pet. It’s very upsetting to hear that the final result did not reflect the features, expression, or likeness you were expecting, and that the feel of the plush was not what you had hoped for.
We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Feedback like this is important to us and helps us better understand where we need to improve, especially in setting expectations and continuing to refine the customer experience.

Disappointing likeness and poor refund process during a difficult time
I ordered a custom plush clone of my dog Bailey, who had just passed away. The likeness was really disappointing - the facial markings were partially captured but the snout and muzzle looked nothing like her, generic and toy-like rather than a true resemblance.
When I contacted customer service to request a refund, they made three separate attempts to get me to accept less - offering an alteration, then a 50% partial refund - before finally processing the return.
While they did refund the item cost, they refused to refund the delivery charge despite the product not accurately resembling my pet as described. For a memorial item purchased during one of the most difficult times of my life, the whole experience fell short.
Save your money and find a smaller, specialist maker who will take the time to get the likeness right.
Response from Cuddle Clones· May 26, 2026
We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience with Bailey’s plush clone added disappointment during such a difficult time. We understand how meaningful these memorial pieces are, and we never want a customer to feel that we fell short in honoring their pet’s memory.
After reviewing your order, we can confirm that your plush itself was fully refunded in accordance with our policy. We also made an exception by allowing you to keep the item so you would not have to go through the stress, costs, and inconvenience of an international return process.
We understand that our team also offered options such as alterations and a partial refund before processing the full refund. Those options are intended to provide customers with alternatives many find helpful, but we completely respect that they were not the right solution for you in this case.
While international shipping charges are non-refundable under our policy once the order has been shipped, we truly regret that the final product did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your honest feedback and will continue using experiences like yours to improve both our craftsmanship and customer experience moving forward.

Not just a bad product but a pest
Item is of very poor quality, not just in photo but overall material etc. Threw them out. But maybe worse, is the constant barage of HUNDREDS of emails. I have asked nicely to be removed and have been assured with no result. What is the point of emails to someone who does not like your product. You are not just a bad product, but a pest. Referring to the below answer, if you want better customer relations just remove me from your list. Got about 10 more emails since writing this review.
Response from Cuddle Clones· May 11, 2026
Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re very sorry to hear the product did not meet your expectations in both quality and materials, and we also understand how frustrating the repeated emails have been.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as feedback like this helps highlight where we need to improve — not only in our products, but also in how we communicate with customers.

Fraudulent Rush Fees
I paid a rush fee to have my orders produced in two weeks. After two weeks, the company generated USPS shipping labels. However, USPS tracking indicated they had not received the items from the sender for going on two weeks - only the shipping labels had been generated. Cuddle Clones refused to refund the rush fees, claiming just generating the shipping labels meant the orders had entered shipping process. This is a fraudulent way of charging rush fees without actually meeting an accelerated production deadline, and trying to deceive the consumer through producing USPS shipping labels without shipping the product.
Response from Cuddle Clones· Apr 30, 2026
Hi Seth,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience—we understand how frustrating this situation must feel.
We want to clarify that our rush service applies specifically to the production timeline. This means your order is prioritized to be completed within the selected timeframe, but it does not include expedited shipping or guarantee a delivery date.
Because our plush clones are shipped from our overseas production facility, there is a portion of transit where tracking may not update. USPS tracking typically begins once the package arrives in the United States and is scanned into their system. During this time, your order is still in transit internationally, even if updates are not yet visible.
We understand how the timing and tracking visibility can create confusion, especially after selecting a rush option. Your feedback is important, and we will continue working to make this distinction clearer so expectations are better aligned moving forward.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- LIKELY A SCAM
I ordered pajamas in November 2025 with a rush order as a gift for my wife. They never arrived. They claim it was an incorrect address; however, it's the same office address I've had for 10 years and receive packages daily. They opened an investigation and kept saying when they receive the package back, they will send again. That never happened. Now they won't even respond on our email thread. THIS COMPANY EITHER A SCAM OR HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! BUYER BEWARE.
Response from Cuddle Clones· Mar 17, 2026
Hi Jim,
We’re so sorry to hear about your experience — this is absolutely not the kind of service we aim to provide.
We understand how frustrating this must be, especially given the importance of your order as a gift. We’ve reached out to you directly to review your case and provide a resolution as quickly as possible.
Please check your email when you have a moment, and we’ll make sure this is taken care of.

I purchased a product for Christmas…AND IT SUCKS
I purchased a product for Christmas gift that was left at our home accidentally after Christmas, and the receiver was 5 hours away. So she tried it on for the first time 2/21/26, which was outside of their return window HOWEVER, upon putting the sleep pants on, the product ripped at the cross-section of seams in the "PRIVATE" area. THIS IS PROOF OF A POOR PRODUCT TO BEGIN WITH and they are NOT standing behind their product that hasn't even been worn.
Response from Cuddle Clones· Feb 24, 2026
Hi Debbie,
Thank you for clarifying — we appreciate you sharing this.
We’re very sorry to hear the sleep pants ripped upon first wear. That’s certainly not the experience we want anyone to have, especially with a gift.
In this case, the challenge is the timeframe. Our policies are based on the original delivery date rather than the first time the item is worn. Because the order was delivered in December and the concern was reported in late February, it does fall outside of our return and replacement window.
While we understand that gifts aren’t always opened or worn right away, we do have to apply our timeframe guidelines consistently. That said, we truly value this feedback and will share it with our product team, as durability is extremely important to us.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
