I purchased a Dewalt small branch cutter chain saw which I must admit cuts through a branch very good, BUT, after about 8 cuts I had to send it back for repair because the oil from the small chamber leaked into the motor area!! After repair I did not use it for a couple of months waiting for Winter to finish and today I got the saw out and the miniscule amount of oil left in it had bloody leaked into the motor area again, this is obviously a manufacturing fault of poor design so I am going to have to send it back again for repair bearing in mind I had not used it after it had already come back from repair, was it just bodged in the repair shop? who knows, I had always considered Dewalt to be good but I have changed my mind now and will think VERY carefully about buying any Dewalt things in the future

Avoid this product! The DEWALT 54V Brushless Split Boom Multi-Tool (DCMAS5713N-XE) has a serious design flaw in the attachment connector. The connection becomes loose very quickly, and tightening it causes the thread to fail after only a few uses. With the brush cutter, the retaining pin breaks under normal load. With the line trimmer, bump feeding bends the connector. DEWALT did not acknowledge this as a design or quality issue when contacted.

I have been using DeWalt and other hand tools daily for about 30 years and I can tell you from a whole lot of experience that DeWalt tools are pretty much junk. Switches go out, chucks will not stay tight grinders lock up just to name a few problems. These tools are for the once in a while use around the house. As far as heavy duty use , find another brand . I am in too deep now with many drills, saws, grinders and batteries to change out now. Do your self a favor, don't get started with DeWalt!!!

I have been in a continuous battle with trying to have a battery sent to me for an MULTI USE TOOL that was used ONE TIME before it stopped working completely. At first, Dewalt asked me to do some troubleshooting with the device, like trying to charge the battery on a different outlet or using a different charging mechanism. None of which I had available to me. After I told them that, they said we will send you a replacement battery and to allow 2 weeks fulfillment and delivery. They also mentioned that once the order is deployed that I would receive tracking information. It is now 6 weeks later. I send them an email every week to ask what the status is of my order and I get some AI generated response that was copy and pasted by a Customer Service representative, I’m sorry for the delay and for the frustration this has caused. “Upon checking, your order is still processing at this time. Tracking information is not yet available because the shipment has not been generated.“ I honestly feel like they are just waiting for me to give up on ever receiving it so they don’t have to be held accountable. I wouldn’t recommend Dewalt tools to anyone. No Customer Service, no follow through, no urgency to resolve., etc. They claim guaranteed tough, and they literally have this on their website…. The DEWALT® name is more than a brand; it's a symbol of trust for world-builders. It's a promise. A commitment to get the job done right. A symbol of trust is not what I would say about Dewalt.

I have owned dewalt tools for many years. I used them regularly when I lived in America with no issues. I now live in Thailand and I have purchased many many dewalt tools. They all perform excellently. When I had an issue with a problem with a 9amp flex battery, went back to Global house, (the store i purchased it from.) Within a week it was replaced. So I have no idea why folks are having issues. I do wish that the 18v weed Wacker was steel blade interchangeable. Im saving up for more tools, like that big blower 👍 Live and die dewalt!

Complete junk. Its says low power while it's plugged in to power source.
