Lacks Intuition This is not an intuitive piece of software. I consider myself fairly skilled at using new computer programs and this one is extraordinarily and unnecessarily complicated. The interface feels antiquated and clunky--many, many clicks to get anything done. I am required to use it for my academic program, but I hope the rest of you have the option to use a different program.

It is not as refined as I had hoped. It still has trouble connecting some of the libraries I use. I like how much information I can include in my citations, and how I can organize everything.

I’ve been using Endnote for almost 30 years, it’s part of me at TH is point. I could not have published articles or a book without it. Customer service has been excellent. I’d recommend anyone in academia should start using the program early in their career.

There is no way to incorporate references from existing papers. Your software should be able to find and source every reference on a written paper. It can't do anything of the sort--I least I couldn't find a way.

This software is a life saver - it does exactly if not more than what it says it does - giving you time to think about your manuscript while it handles the citation and references.

Software stalls/glitches frequently. Also, perfectly for journal citations but tends to have formatting problems for others such as websites, books, etc.
