I purchased EstateExec.com to assist me while handling my fathers estate. I recorded transactions and was feeling very confident until I created a report. I have found the accounting to be a complete nightmare. It does not explain how to properly record transactions. It made a mess of everything and now I am going to have to hire expensive accountants to go through everything and produce a accurate accounting report. It also does not take all the receipts and print them out for you. You have to go back and find each one and print yourself. Overall, its just useless!!!!!!!

As a first time Executor this software was exactly what I needed to have all the estate information (deceased, heirs, distributions), transactions, assets & liabilities, and forms. The task/checklist is a very useful tool to ensure the executor is making progress as the estate is administered & settled. Reporting is one of the most important features and gives the user options for which columns & views to generate with output as .csv or .pdf. I had a lawyer file probate which could be done electronically and providing a report to her to populate the forms was easy. When embarking on this role I researched the tasks required and realized tracking everything was the most challenging part. Initially I started recording information in spreadsheets but thought there must be an app or software that could do that and found EstateExec recommended in multiple places (I was looking for one in particular that was built to include Canadian estates). After using it I can see why and would also highly recommend it as a tool to use in estate administration. It's fairly intuitive and has numerous instruction screens and the support is top notch. While I would rather crawl across broken glass than be an executor again, EstateExec would absolutely be my go-to for administering an estate in future to make it as painless as possible.

I live in a state with inheritance tax. The estate wasn't huge but we didn't want to pay a lawyer 3% to do all of the paperwork. If it hadn't been for EstateExec, there is no way I would have been able to complete and file all of the correct paperwork without the help of a lawyer. Using Estate Exec, I was able to navigate all of the legalities of inheritance/estate issues in my state with relative ease! When I needed help from an actual human, they were there at the ready. Using EstateExec saved my siblings and me over $25,000 in legal fees. I highly recommend EstateExec!!!

The software covered all the generalities and got me off on the right foot. I did need to hire an attorney to represent the trust due to a beneficiary conflict.

EstateExec was very helpful while working on my father-in-law's estate, which was modestly sized and amicable. First, the customer support was absolutely outstanding. The software is easy to understand, and included useful tools like a modifiable task list, a section to manage asset values including the estate bank account. The software includes detailed relative links to useful information that I found otherwise hard to find or understand, as probate and estate management is very legalistic and confusing. Overall I found the software very comforting and helpful while trying to sort through a painful and confusing experience.

Having zero experience in managing a Trust estate, I knew I needed guidance. A quick google search and I found EstateExec had excellent reviews by respected authorities in the Finance, Legal and IT world. I found it to be intuitive and educational. In my first week of use, I had learned enough to side-step some potentially expensive incorrect tax decisions if left uneducated and it more than paid for the investment.
