I have a video that will be going on tomorrow Search- "Leaving the Wolf Pack - Our Great Wolf Lodge Nightmare" My family of 8 stayed at Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky from October 16-18 in a Family Loft, and after spending well over $2,000, this was easily one of the most disappointing family trips we've had. We've been guests of Great Wolf Lodge since 2004, which made this experience even more upsetting. Shortly after checking in, my 4-year-old daughter found food left in the dresser from previous guests. Later, we discovered what appeared to be a reddish-brown stain with hair on the bathroom floor, and the toilet had clearly not been properly cleaned. We reported the issues multiple times. No one came that night, and the next morning we were told the bathroom had been cleaned, but the same stains and hair were still there. We have time-stamped pictures showing the condition before and after they claimed it had been addressed. We also had no iron or ironing board for hours, causing us to miss morning activities with our five children while waiting for basic room issues to be handled. The staff offered a $100 credit and a few bowling tokens, but that does not make up for an unsanitary room, lost family time, and the amount of money we spent. Dinner alone for 8 people was nearly $200. Great Wolf Lodge feels very different from the place our family has visited for years. The prices continue to rise while the quality, activities, cleanliness, and customer service seem to be declining. We worked hard and saved for this family getaway, only to come home feeling like we wasted more than $2,000. Instead of making great memories, we now feel like we need another weekend just to make up for this one. Longtime Great Wolf Lodge customer, but after this experience I cannot recommend it. Families: please do your research before spending your hard-earned money here.
