Hands off! I was looking for a host that allowed adult web hosting. After a long search I found hostwinds.com. So ordered the appropriate offer. All information provided: address and credit card given. On the next website one expected the copies of the ID, the credit card and a completed and signed form as confirmation of the correctness. So far that's okay too. But that timely! What does timely mean? You always have a photocopy of your ID card and credit card close at hand. So made photocopies and uploaded the photos to the web form. The photos were unedited and a few MB in size. No confirmation that the photos have arrived. So photos downsized and uploaded again. Confirmation was displayed. I thought that was it. In the meantime, the access data for the server have been sent to me by email. But logging in was out of the question. Always error message. This could not be clarified in the chat with the support either. The ticket system is confusing. After looking at the problem for a few hours, I checked out the "Billing" page. Status: FRAUD. Fraud, what's the point? Because I hadn't uploaded the photocopies of ID and CC in a timely manner. No other hoster has such problems. It is sufficient to state the CC. But hostwinds marks a customer as a fraud. An opaque ticket system, especially when you are on the website, you still get emails. Customer friendliness is very important to other hosters. I have had my account deleted.

I used shared wordpress hosting for higher plan. Customer service reply in reasonable time even they state that they dont work on weekends. I asked for small discount they didnt give it so i moved to other provider. I am not expert but sometimes it get laggy. Overall good experience and would carefully think as good option. Btw i was autocharged for service and got refunded.
