My HVAC guy ordered a system that appeared to be the standard heating and air systems sold in South Carolina. Some woman at the company called me, demanding that I upgrade to a different one for South Carolina, which I did. It comes in as an air system with no heat (that has to be purchased separately). The minute my HVAC guy saw it he contacted them. They put me through the ringer. And today they come back and tell me I have to contact whoever delivered this and manage the shipment back! I can't get anyone on the phone. The reviews on their site are great, probably written by employees...but digging around outside the company it's a different story. You've been warned

I had a very disappointing experience with HVACDirect. I purchased a gas furnace that did not work properly, and when I contacted customer service for assistance, the support I received was poor and unprofessional. Before purchasing, I was given the impression that the company would stand behind its products and work with customers if issues arose. However, when I reported the problem, my return request was denied, and I received very little assistance regarding the warranty process. The management and customer service experience were extremely frustrating. Communication was inconsistent, and I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. After spending a significant amount of money on the equipment, I expected better support and a reasonable resolution. Based on my experience, I would not recommend HVACDirect and would encourage potential buyers to carefully review the company's return and warranty policies before making a purchase.

Great HVAC company who stands by their word. Fast shipping and they deliver on what they promise. Price matching team went above and beyond AFTER the sale was made. I had my order delivered but the team members (Paula, Natalie and their supervisor) went beyond price matching terms in making sure I got the best possible price.

Purchased an all in one unit. Heat works A/C does NOT. Unit was supposed to come full of Freon and ready to use. No freon in unit and customer service refuses to do anything and warranty does not cover

My Unit broke and my secondary insurance company was trying to hustle me with technician's labor cost. Since I have a technician that a friend, I decided to give him the business. Then if course the insurance company no longer would buy the equipment, so i was left trying to find my own equipment. Then, I went to Ai for help in how to buy and learn a lot about my unit. So then I Googled and Wholesale Hvac Direct popped up. After much searching, they had exactly what I needed and their prices were the best on the market - I did several comparisons. After my decision, I called and begun communicating with one of their Sales Reps named Mike, what a GEM! Mike was very professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable of my needs and because of his business ethics, I felt comfortable to buy. Mike was there throughout the entire process and ensured when my technician picked up my unit, he had no problems and the process was effortlessly. My unit was installed, is working perfectly and my home is nice and cool, especially because my bulldogs need to be kept cool. I purchase a large Chinese heat pump from them and had issues with the installation due to poor instructions, incompatibility of the tubing and outside unit, and parts with not explanation of where they went. Technical support customer service were useless and knew nothing of the unit and the problem. Pictures and a dozen phone calls were required to even convenience them there was a problem. Then they would have only sent half the parts required to follow fix it. I resolved the incompatibility problem with mystery parts that I had but with no instructions what they were about. I had to have a local HVAC company assist with a low refrigerant issue and they required my help to resolve that because they had never seen it and the instructions said nothing about it. The unit is running and appears to be acceptable but the company is totally unacceptable.

I’m noticing more HVACDirect reviews happen immediately after delivery of the product so let me add a perspective from a year and a half later. We turned the power on at our place and heard a pop as soon as the breaker was flipped. Both mother boards in the condenser were burned. No problem we thought, we paid $480 for a warranty. But let us tell you about that warranty. It’s farmed out to CPS Central; which seems to do its best to get you to walk away. Prepare to have the invoice number, the serial number, the warranty number, the invoice showing you paid for the warranty and when you have that and more, they’ll ask for something else. After 3-4 hours of trying to get everything in their system (which will only take one video…and then crashes); they might accept your submission. Expect a few days without heat…to begin with. Then if you’re rural, as in our case, they’ll say they can’t find anyone to service your system but they’ll reimburse you $100 for someone to come look at it. If you can’t get anyone to drive all the way out to your place for $100; that’s your problem. Buy local. Don’t go through HVAC Direct and don’t waste your money on a warranty.
