I have recently completed all of the AIDA requirements and I feel so ready to begin my new career in Instructional Design. The staff is incredibly supportive but tough. I mean this in the best possible way. When coaches review your work, they critique it as though they are your manager and expect top notch quality in design and development. In addition to the critique, they provide the necessary support to improve your work to industry standards. This has been the most rewarding program I have ever been a part of.

My experience with AIDA has been life changing. I knew that I would not teach forever, but I had no idea what to do. I did not want to enroll in a university program. I wanted to learn skills and apply them immediately. Seeing where I am at now and where I started is really unbelievable to me. There were times when I just didn't feel like it because my life was so hectic, but then I'd see a Facebook post from a fellow cohort member sharing their progress. it pushed me to keep going. My success advisor, the coaches/mentors, and Jill are all an amazing asset to this program.

By attending an Applied Instructional Design Academy, I have gained knowledge and skills in instructional design that I have been able to apply in corporate training and e-learning. I have learned various techniques, strategies, and technologies to design and deliver content in a way that maximizes learning outcomes. I have improved my design skills and I am still improving them as I grow in the program. I have a better understanding of learning theory which helps me to understand how to reach the adult learner. AIDA has been a valuable resource for me in my career development.

BEWARE of AIDA leadership-they have dishonored their word Update: March 9, 2023 In the Jan 2023 response, AIDA leadership said " The door is still open for Kay to get the help she needs, and we would love to help her get there so she can get what she came for". Multiple requests to use the "open door" to communicate about the situation, or "get the help" have been repeatedly ignored. After reviewing the MANY changes and revamps in the program, AIDA looks updated, more scaffolded and more aligned with adult learning principles. These changes were largely made based on the extreme challenges and struggles, ideas, feedback of September 2022 cohort members and myself. We did not receive proper acknowledgement and AIDA has benefited financially by raising the price. There is no valid reason not to refund my $6400. AIDA HAS given refunds; it was done very recently. I will continue to update this review for full transparency.

AIDA changed my life! A year ago I would have never imagined I would be where I am right now, working as an instructional designer with my nights and weekends spent doing what I want to do rather than working around the clock. I was very well prepared for an ID role coming out of this program. I had all of the support in the world at my fingertips throughout the whole course and job seeking journey. I am so grateful for AIDA!

This company is always looking for ways to improve and takes feedback seriously. After I finished my program and found a job, I honestly felt more qualified than the ID I was assigned to and I have heard that from many others. This was a mid-life career change for me and the support, skills, and structure of this particular training course were perfect for my needs. Be prepared for a lot of computer time for videos and upskilling.

AIDA has taught me so much about myself and about what skills I already have that can be easily transferred over to become an instructional designer. In the 9 months, I learned how to use many tools that will help me get a job in the ID field. AIDA has a great community of Success Advisors, Mentors and Coaches that are with you every step of the way to ensure that you will be successful.

I am loving this program! I’m learning a ton and feel more and more confident every day! AIDA has been transformational for me and I’m excited to see where I go next!!!
