The first time I bought access to…
The first time I bought access to SelfDecode as a birthday present for my husband (at that time, we lived in Ukraine, and it was quite expensive). Fortunately, SelfDecode justified every dollar spent on it.
Firstly, most of the problems that were found in the husband's genome were already manifested by diseases in his relatives. And this is a clear confirmation that all these problems are not random, it helps him a lot to avoid bad habits and motivates him to stick to a healthy lifestyle.
Secondly, the data from SelfDecode helped doctors choose a disease prevention strategy - some drugs were discontinued, others were replaced, and this gave excellent results.
Thirdly, what I love about SelfDecode is its customer service. A month ago, when I ordered SelfDecode for myself and FedEx lost my package. SelfDecode support not only took over the search for the package, but when it turned out that it was lost, they sent me a replacement for free by courier. Now I'm looking forward to the results in order to optimize my diet, choose the optimal set of vitamins and correct some habits.
In general, I consider this one of the best investments in recent times because each of us lives in our own body, which should be taken care of first of all.

I have been with SelfDecode for quite a few years now and have loved it since, It is improving much and still getting better as they are adding much more,
The new Selfdecode took quite a bit of getting used to at 1st but loving it the more I see it. ( they still have the old version up which is also good which I hope they also keep on it.
Customer service is the best and answers pretty quickly and other companies do not, so 10 stars for customer service are always happy to help with any problems and very polite and get things sorted quickly if you do get a problem and that's rare.
Love the Labs, but unfortunately, as I am in the UK so I can't take advantage of the blood tests however the App you can put your results in is just brilliant, So no more waiting for a GP to explain them to me at next appointments.
I highly recommend SelfDecode, I have tried quite a few other 3rd party apps and you do not get so much for your money elsewhere.
If you are wondering if should you should join up stop thinking and just do it will not be disappointed .
They recommend what supplements you need for each problem you may have, you do not have to buy what they sell and they do not push the products they sell on you, they give advice and good advice at that.
. So if you want to get your health back joining SelfDecode is one step forward to doing that :)

SelfDecode has been such a great tool to look at areas where my genetics can cause some issues in my health. It gives me the information I need to change my habits to support a better me! I have definitely been sucked down the DNA rabbit hole quite a few times with all the information that SelfDecode code offers.

Could Be Dangerous If You Take It Seriously
First off the annoyance of being barraged with emails asking for more money for more services is off putting in itself. Secondly, Self Decode did absolutely nothing that I couldn't do myself with a quick search online. Some of the suggestions are so general as to be laughable. Others certainly do not apply to my health in the past and are not applicable now either. I have a lifetime to look back on my health. I think about the information and suggestions and wonder if my DNA is being interpreted correctly. It doesn't seem so. I don't have the "problems" (now or in the past)that I should have according to the site and I do have issues never even mentioned. That is really disconcerting. If you enjoy this sort of thing as an amusement and don't regard any of the information as gospel truth, maybe. Most of the general information is available for free if you do a little research. But I wouldn't be taken in again.

Before we go any further, I want to emphasize that the risk scores in your reports are not definitive of what health conditions you will develop. The risk icon in your Health Reports tell you if you are at a higher or lower risk compared to other people, and they are solely based on genetics.
Because there are other variables that will influence the emergence of certain conditions, or prevent others from developing, genes alone are not enough to diagnose a condition or predict the future. Many people are at high risk for diseases and conditions they never get, and vice versa.
There are other factors, including lifestyle, environment, and overall health, that play an important role in determining how your genetic risks manifest in your life. Genetics is just one piece of the puzzle.
This is where the beauty of SelfDecode begins. By understanding what genetic conditions you are most at risk for and why you are at risk for them, you are able to take your destiny into your own hands by modifying your diet, lifestyle, and supplement action plan to avert the expression of such genes.
It's also worth noting that the information provided by SelfDecode is not a diagnosis or prediction. It is simply meant to empower you with more information about how your genes may potentially impact your health.

If you remove a recommendation that you don't find useful, it will be replaced with a suggestion from further down on your prioritized list. These recommendations tend to be less common since there is less research on their effectiveness.
We always cite our sources throughout our reports, so if you are interested in seeing where we got any information from, you can click on the blue R to read the article yourself!
Of course, you could find these articles online yourself, however our Science Team has done the work of finding the most distinguished research and matching it up to the relevant health topics for you, so you don't need to.
