All great, until...
I have been using SendLayer for a few months now and I had no complaints until I received an email stating I have reached the send limit and they emailed to advise me 'we tried to upgrade your plan but we weren't able to charge your card'. When I tried to log in - I get an error message 'Error 1015 - You are being rate limited. What happened? The owner of this website (sendlayer.com) has banned you temporarily from accessing this website.' Please can someone tell me what is going on with my account, why you were trying to charge money to a card without consent and why I am now 'banned'?

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we're sorry it left you feeling confused and locked out. To clarify what happened: when your account approached its sending limit, our system sent you a warning email letting you know that an automatic upgrade would follow - this is part of how SendLayer ensures your email delivery isn't interrupted. The upgrade process, including the charge attempt, is also outlined in our Terms of Service (https://sendlayer.com/terms-of-service/) and confirmed during signup. So while we understand it may have felt unexpected, the notification and the process were both in place. Regarding the login error - this was a temporary rate-limiting measure, typically triggered by multiple login attempts in a short window. It's a protective mechanism, not a permanent ban, and it resolves on its own relatively quickly. Our support team reached out several times to help restore your access and go over your options. If you're still experiencing any issues, please reply to that support thread, and we'll make it our priority to sort things out. We appreciate you sharing your feedback, and we're always looking at ways to make these processes as clear as possible. Have a nice day!
