I am really enjoying this course by Craig Beck. I came here already intending to give up drinking completely but I needed a bit of convincing and some information to help me make it "stick". What I've learned since I started is that it's not as simple as I thought and I now know the reasons why. And it's absolutely the right thing to do for me. Craig has an amazing gift to articulate and cover every single area of problem drinking. I've tried so many therapists and have never come away believing I needed help. Denial. I'm male, 48 years old and have binged on/off for 30+ years. I've paused my drinking around a dozen times over the past 20 years from 1 week to 10 months at a time. Thanks to Craig, I now understand why I kept coming back to drinking. This course made me a bit emotional as I realised I had been associating my drinking with all the wrong things which made it impossible to understand what really drove me to it over and over again. Every time I've been sober for long periods my life gets better in every way. I truely believe now I can be permanently in control and enjoy a sober life :)

Approximately three weeks ago I came across Craig Beck's book Alcohol Lied To Me on Amazon. I read it over the next three days and it resonated with me to the point that I decided to try the 90 day course. I am now about two weeks into the course and the results have been dramatic. I was a daily drinker for many years. I have had no alcohol in two weeks and I do not crave it. I tried everything else, literally, and nothing worked. If you really want to stop drinking I implore you to at least download the book or go to the stopdrinkingexpert website where you can watch a video (excellent video) and get a free copy of the book.

No way did I want to give up. I love having a drink. It’s fun enjoyable I’m a happy drunk. I listened to the audio book and joined the course because of intrigue. I’m not going to give up fully just get a handle on when I have been know to binge, which is pretty much when ever I drink but I’m not as bad as Craig was. 1st video had me questioning, can this guy really have the answer for me to live a happy fulfilled life without alcohol? That actually might be amazing. I’m 45. Over weight which I blamed on an injury and surgery but really it was I drank the same and unable to exercise off the sugar. I have some hope after listening to this guy. He actually is making sense and I can relate to the lies he refers to. Well, it’s worth a go. I have nothing to loose, except weight. I’m going to give it a chance.

This site, and Craig's book, has literally saved my life. People say that all the time, and it seems trite. But he is speaking directly to me. My experience was a mirror image of his own. That's why it's easy for me to relate to it. There's no shaming or telling you something's wrong with you. It's not rocket science -- I was hooked on a powerful poison drug that is highly, highly addictive, and which is somehow not only socially acceptable, but PUSHED upon people. Thank you for being here. I'm not sure what would have happened without this site and without the book.
