The customer service was great! Two guys ran three engine bays on a busy saturday and were just managing all vehicles, customers, different services and everyone else waiting. They were very friendly, knowledgable and just great employees. My service member knew every piece of equiptment, the engineering behind it and fully explained to me the procedures for draining my oil and alo when he changed my radiator fluid. I have been going there for two years and every time I use them for my cars service needs I leave feeling reassured that the services performed were done correctly, by a professional and the prices are great. I would like to see better conditions for the employees such as air conditioning, larger fans to keep them cooll in the service area, a break room that has a decent conditions ( a couch, clean sinks, clean restrooms, refridgerator, eating area etc.) . I defintley woud recommend them to anyone and wil be going back again soon!

Don't trust this place
Shop did not install the under tray correctly. it came off within 2 miles of the oil change location and damaged the car. 6 weeks later, they deny the claim. I would not take my vehicle to any of these locations based on the reviews I have read now. Local shop states they have multiple vehicles in for damages due to Take-5.

First-Time Experience at Take 5 Oil Change
**First-Time Experience at Take 5 Oil Change — Store #0997, 16590 W. Cactus Rd., Surprise, AZ**
I decided to give Take 5 Oil Change a try after previously using Cobblestone Auto Spa. The prices are comparable, but when you consider that Cobblestone includes a car wash and an air-conditioned waiting area, the overall value was noticeably better than my experience at Take 5.
When I arrived around 5:00 p.m., I was the only customer. A young man greeted me, offered me a cold bottle of water, and directed me into the service bay. He initially told me to keep the engine running so I could keep the air conditioning on because of the heat. After collecting my information and confirming the service I wanted, the technicians were ready to begin. I was then asked to turn off the engine and remain in the vehicle.
I had seen that the service would take approximately 10 minutes, which seemed reasonable. In reality, it took about 15 minutes. That may not sound like a long time, but sitting in a vehicle with no air conditioning in the Arizona heat—especially in August—became very uncomfortable very quickly.
Because I remained in the vehicle with the hood open, I could see what the two technicians were doing. It appeared that one technician was training the other. That is understandable; everyone has to learn somehow. The service was eventually completed, and I paid the bill. I had found a $25 discount, bringing the total from $132.74 down to $107.74. The discounted price was comparable to what I had paid for previous oil changes.
Later, I reviewed the receipt to understand how a $109.99 oil change had totaled $132.74 before the discount. The posted price covers five quarts, and my vehicle required six, adding $11.99. There was also a $4.99 shop service charge, which I do not understand—if it is a standard operating cost, it should be included in the advertised price rather than added separately. After taxes, the final total made sense.
The bigger issue is the value and credibility of the service. The receipt included a 15-point service checklist. I cannot speak to every item, but I do know that several listed services were not performed. Despite that, they were marked as completed. The items I know were not checked included:
- #6: Air filter
- #11: Wiper blades
- #14: Windshield
- #15: Tires
The cabin filter was marked “N/A.”
The photos I included support these concerns. The tire-pressure readings showed different pressure levels, which strongly suggests the tire pressures were not checked or adjusted. There was also bug splatter remaining on the windshield, indicating that it was not cleaned.
The issue is not just whether every extra service was necessary. The issue is that a checklist was completed as though those services had been performed when they had not. If a company checks off work that was never done, how can customers have confidence in anything else on that list?
The bottom line is simple: **Do what you say, and say what you do.** It is the little details that matter, especially when trust is part of the service. I have too many other options to return to Take 5 Oil Change.

$161 dollars for oil
$161 dollars for oil, oil filter and air filter. No wonder I was the only one there. Tried it. Never again. Didn't even ask me if I wanted the air filter changed. Just did it. I had changed it two months ago.

Beware! Potential harm to your vehicle!
I have a 2025 Ram Promaster 3500 van with 35,169 miles on it. I paid for the ‘Ultimate oil change’ and was also pressured into getting my coolant flushed. For the coolant flush, I said my engine doesn’t overheat and he said ‘it doesn’t until it does’. And then he turned the computer screen towards me and said this is your service record and the car company can see that you aren’t servicing your vehicle and that can affect your warranty. He said I have a lot of miles on it and it needs to be done. So I agreed to have it done for another $150. I asked if there was a discount for get that and the oil change and he said he could give me 25% off. That is not the discount I received.
Additionally, they are supposed to do a few service things like topping off your fluids and checking the air in your tires. They only poured about a half an inch of washer fluid in so it appeared to be filled. I only noticed because I was jumping a car later that day and saw the level. I have a picture. It was nearly empty before so I knew they barely put anything in. They never checked the tire pressure or anything else. The oil change line item indicates individual bottles were used when they weren’t. They used oil from a big vat with minimal labeling showing the weight. Based on my experience here and what I later found out, I don’t believe they are using the ‘upgraded’ oil they claim to be.
NOTICE: My major complaint is that I mentioned the service I had done to someone that is familiar with cars and they asked if Take 5 put the correct coolant back in or just the regular kind. Ram puts a specific coolant (OAT) in at the factory and it doesn’t need to be flushed for 10 yrs or 100k miles. I look at the invoice and see the coolant used. I looked it up and it is not the correct coolant. It is light duty (AFC) coolant; the regular cheap kind. Upon further reading, is see that mixing these 2 coolants can cause it to gel in the cooling system and if you have issues and the shop sees the regular coolant in there, they can void your warranty. *Remember this when they are ‘topping off your fluids!!! So not only are they scaring people into unnecessary services, and overcharging them, they are potentially causing warranty voiding damage to vehicles. I had to go to Ram and get the coolant chemically flushed out of my practically new van and have the correct one put back in. This cost $237.
Additionally, on the Take 5 invoice they charge you a service fee that is stated so far down on the sign, in tiny letters, that you can’t actually see it from the car you are sitting in. (the pic provided is from outside the vehicle when I was there trying to file a complaint) And they charged for ‘extra oil needed’ which if you look it up, they charge every car since barely any cars only take 5 qts of oil with an oil change anymore. This was not stated to me at all. Even though the computer tells them how much oil to put in, they say nothing until you see it on the bill. My bill was $279.21 with the ‘discount’ and I wasn’t even provided half the services stated. I’m sure this is every one of these Take 5 oil change places because they seemed immuned to my concerns and complaints. I did call the ‘claims dept’ and start a claim but based on other business board reviews, I will be shocked if they actually contact me. Still no contact since Monday 8/17/26. Regardless, people’s vehicles need to be protected even if there’s nothing to be done about the other shady practices.

Take 5 years of your life!
Take 5 years of your life!
This experience took years off my life. I had to bring my vehicle back six different times because they kept insisting the problem was a cracked oil pan. Every visit, I was told the same thing, but the real issue was that the drain plug had been left loose after service.
I've worked on cars my entire life, and I've never seen this level of incompetence. A loose drain plug is a basic mistake that should never happen, let alone be missed repeatedly. It took weeks to finally get the issue resolved, after countless wasted trips, time, and stress.
I cannot recommend this shop. If you value honest diagnostics and competent workmanship, I would look elsewhere.
You can see the response text. They stopped replying.

I went to the location in Spring Hill
I went to the location in Spring Hill, Florida. Miserable experience. Horrible service. So unprofessional I can see why this location is on the verge of being closed. Right after I left the facility the " Low Washer Fluid " light came on in my car. I took my car right back and realized they never filled the fluid. Then when they did fill it, they used a garden hose. Additionally, they never cleaned the windows, Checked the wiper blades or air in the tires. All these services they advertised completing. BUYER BEWARE..... Never go to this company
