Purchasing Hardstop is simple, however, when prompted to fill in an email address OR phone number, definitely do email. The phone number doesn't prompt text or links to download and install. The good news is that the HardStop team responded within minutes and got me back on track. Awesome response time and installation is super easy.

Definitely the best option for iPhone/iPad. Other apps can be manually disabled too easily. I will caution and say when you buy the subscription, make sure to buy it on the computer you plan to use to install the software. I ran into a double billing issue but the support team was able to get it resolved/refunded relatively quickly.

I've been looking for a good filter that I can't bypass, and I finally found it. There are really great filters out there, but I always seemed to find a way to get around them when I really wanted to, and once I found the loophole, the filter was useless. Then I stumbled upon HardStop. The first thing that caught my eye was the 72-hour wait period for the uninstall code. Knowing I couldn't just uninstall and reinstall this whenever I wanted was huge. Then I saw that it's a profile-level filter, not a VPN and not a single app that you have to use to access the internet. I realized I could still keep the apps I love and the functionality of my phone, but I would also have pretty solid safeguards that I couldn't get around. HardStop has been great. 3 days into the monthly subscription, I knew it was time to just buy the lifetime access and leave it on. I'm so grateful for the team that built this, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

I followed the installation instructions, and the software caused my iPhone to shut down and become completely unable to restart or recover. I had to leave work in the middle of the day and spend hours at an Apple Store, only to be told that my phone must be shipped to a repair center for seven days—and that I may lose everything that wasn’t backed up to iCloud. I’m now stuck using a loaner phone without my contacts, messages, apps, or saved login information. This is easily one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a product or service. I’m honestly stunned by how much disruption simply installing this software has caused.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS!!! Shortly after downloading the installer, the application asks you to disable stolen device protection and location. This sketched me out heavily and I decided not to install the product anymore. However I had already plugged my iPhone into my computer and trusted the installer with my phone. Shortly after, all my app icons went white and I couldn’t access anything on my phone. I powered it off hoping it was just a glitch and it got stuck in a boot loop, I had to factory reset my phone. Ultimately I’m sure their mission is good but it isn’t all it’s chalked up to be and I think that the whole “disable all your security so we can install our proprietary software with admin permission on your device!” Thing is really sketchy

the support function was pretty remarkable...assisted me in protecting my iPhone...very responsive and particular in its guidance and answering of questions...

I’ve tried a few different website blockers over the years and HardStop is the first one that is actually (pretty much) impossible to get around. The setup was straightforward and once it’s configured, it gives you enough accountability that you’re not constantly tempted to disable it in a moment of weakness. What I also appreciate is that it isn’t just another app that throws up a reminder and hopes you make the right decision. It actually creates meaningful friction because you can’t just turn it off or remove it which is exactly what I was looking for. It’s helped me build better habits and spend less time fighting the same battles over and over. If you’re serious about making a lasting change instead of just relying on willpower, I’d definitely recommend giving HardStop a try.

Very good, impressed with the prompt, quick, customer service! Blocker does what it's supposed to do! A-1
